Chrom* exempts Google sites from user site data settings

Seems Chrome/ium overrides some cookie settings.
See:In Google Chrome's "Cookies and site data" settings, accessible via the Preferences menu item or directly with chrome://settings/cookies in the address bar, you can enable the setting "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome". However, I've discovered that Chrome exempts Google's own sites, such as Search and YouTube, from this setting.
– https://lapcatsoftware.com/articles/chrome-google.htmlI do not know yet if/how this affects Vivaldi.

@Gwen-Dragon this is incredibly annoying. I too use this erase-all-except-whitelisted model.
This is just annoying. I hope it doesn't affect vivaldi. Let me test.
Update: On vivaldi at least, if I add a specific "block" rule for youtube, it obeys this instruction.

I asked the devs in internal Vivaldi Slack chat.
No answer yet.
Our devs say: Vivaldi is not affected.

@Gwen-Dragon No surprise there, but Vivaldi needs better cookie management anyway. Even if this doesn’t affect Vivaldi, the system is already broken as is. Database storage, filesystem storage and service workers aren’t deleted when quitting Vivaldi, no matter what you set. It has to be handled manually by visiting chrome settings. It’s stupid.
