configurable context menus
This is going to be extremely powerful, and definitely opens up possibilities for improving productivity.
-
The two context menus I use most are the ones on a web page, and on a link on a web page.
Looks like those aren't customizable. Is that going to be added in a future release? -
Edit: After a quick on an updated Vivaldi for Android and updated filter lists (the same that I'm using on desktop version), the second point I mention doesn't apply there, so even with blockers on I still see the Promoted posts on Reddit from Vivaldandroid.
Hello everyone!
First of all, congratulations on the double release, hopefully they'll receive the attention Vivaldi deserve. Usually I don't comment much around here, but that doesn't mean I'm not appreciating your efforts!
Truth be told, I got a specific reason for commenting this time, and it'd be appreciated if a Vivaldi developer could give some answers about it. I'm using version 3.4 on Windows since RC 1 landed thanks to the stable stream download, and I'm noticing two things:
-
The page load speed overall seems to have improved, being more "responsive", seeming faster
-
In some webpages, built-in blocker had been able to block more stuff than in version 3.3 and below (for instance I'd seen the Promoted posts on Reddit with Vivaldi 3.3 and it no longer seems to be the case, but maybe an update to some filter list is actually responsible for this; but for this I guess I should test more with other webpages and Android version)
I'm really trying to set aside any possible placebo effect, but I would like to know if the team actually did some improvements that could have had such positive impact on the browsing experience in an elaborate answer (Not just "Yeah we did" and "Well it's Chromium 86").
Thanks in advance,
a Vivaldi Ambassador via email list.P.S: Played Vivaldia a lil bit, so far my high-score is 4600

@hexianpeel Woah that's your first run through? That's insane man I can hardly get past 1000 and I've played dozens of times
-
@Pathduck Of course not ha ha
Took me around a dozen tries and reached that with a pinch of luck, been playing since RC stage of version 3.4 (probably around one hour of playtime in total?). -
Periodic Reload does not work.
It reloads only once and stop working.
It seems not to work when more than one window exists. -
@tree1891 sorry for the trouble, would you please file a bug report on vivaldi.com/bugreport so we get more details about your set up and can try to reproduce your issue? Thanks in advance for your help

Will there be Periodic Reload for Speed Dial (https://apod.nasa.gov/ would be a good use for reload every 12 hours)?
-
I would just like to say a big thank you to jon and team for the continued support of the 32bit linux builds.Other vendors are jumping the 32bit ship but nice to see vivaldi is keeping us 32bit souls afloat.
Latest version is running on calm seas and is a trouble free journey.Thanks.

The Winareo Blog reports many positive things about Vivaldi 3.4: https://winaero.com/vivaldi-3-4-is-here-with-a-bunch-of-new-features/

@Gwen-Dragon

This would be a goof feature request to submit, if it hasn't been already. I'd up-vote it.

Also the German Computerbild reports: https://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-News-Software-Vivaldi-Browser-3.4-27948349.html

I would like Capture Page with option to upload directly to some internet image service, like Lightshot do. Because almost every time when I need capturing something, I need it online, not on my PC.
-
Did .72 to .76 offer any relevant changes, or is it just to signify release instead of pre-release?

Will the menu you open become customizable when you right click on a website?

Seems that the congigurable menu doesn't work with webpage and link context menu. These two are my most used ones. Any plan to support them in the future?
