I hope you will enjoy the game as much as I do. I have been quite involved with the Porcelain Fortress team and have enjoyed seeing the game evolve. I am very impressed with their work.
At Vivaldi we spend a lot of time building features that are useful for some. This is because we believe in diversity. If we only focused on what most people want, we would not add most of the features we have added. It is the combination of useful features that most of you like!

If you could finish it during the first run, it would be no fun.
Reverse engineering could also be fun

I have problems with the tab autoreload, since it was introduced:
I have 2 windows with some tabs open (tabs at the right side), one is more or less in the background with some news sites which I have set to reload every 30 minutes.
the visual "counter" decreases but sometimes it "stops" some millimeters before it should end.
I'm not really able to reproduce it because sometimes (the first time?) the automatic reload works but later one it does not.
because we germans had a local problem 2 snapshots ago, this bug perhaps is also related to de-onlyam I the only one with this problem?

why on earth this was added.
For fun and to be a little more modern than the default built-in dino game.
vivaldi://dino was already present (and still is) and nobody bats an eye. Now a better looking and quite more interesting game is now here... GOD FORBIDS!111!1
Come on. Vivaldi could get some more attention from young generations, and I hope it does. Sure I'd like some more bugfixes added than "wasting time" like this, but this wasn't developed by Vivaldi internally, they just integrated a 3rd party game, as already said. -
@pathduck: Indeed, it can be. For me progressing in the game has been a lot of fun. The feel of mastering another impossible task.

-
@gwen-dragon: You never know. I like dragonz as well.
-
@npro: I love pinball. I have a few pinball machines (and a few arcade games). Although I have seen some pretty good virtual pinball games and even machines, for me nothing beats the real thing! Hmmm. Maybe that is an interesting challenge...
-
@Gwen-Dragon The game textures are stored in the resources file, a modder with art skill could conceivably modify them to make it look like a spacey dragon game

something with dragonz
-
@LonM The idea of being able to edit the game is something we have discussed... Just saying.
But that is for later.
-
@npro: i'll do

Bah so jealous ! I've fed Williams & Bally machines probably some thousand of coins in the early to late 90's , I just wish I had all the pinball machines in my place or better... own a pinball museum lol. I've played around with some virtual pinball in... amateur cabinet mode (TV) as well but it's not the same as you say, though way better than with a typical PC-monitor setup. Lately I'm following the news about affordable 3/4" (virtual) machine replicas (like Arcade1UP/Arcooda etc) and thinking about getting one at some point
That said I think I have struck a vein though and feeling like a giggling schoolgirl !!! The thematic creativity alone or some more crazy stuff like a browser->pinball metaphor makes it exciting enough!

Why does the music (heavily) remind me of In the Hall of the Mountain King? Has it been an inspiration for it?
-
@potmeklecbohdan Yes, indeed. I love that song and wanted something with the same feel to it.
-
@npro, I played a lot of pinball and arcade machines as a kid and I still enjoy that. One of my favorite machines now is the Revenge From Mars pinball. The combination of pinball and arcade screen makes it a lot of fun!
For me it is important to be able to just have fun sometimes. Playing arcade games with friends is one of the things I thoroughly enjoy, which is why I got myself a few of these machines.

Unfortunately I never had the chance to play RfM at all, but I was a huge fan of Attack from Mars and frankly if I had to choose between AfM and Medieval Madness -the usual dilema-I'd definitely pick AfM (ok... as first), despite MM having a richer ruleset and whatnot
There's no argue about the necessity of fun, "we don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing" , as we all know

Pinball dreams on the commodore amiga500 was one of my favourites.I still own 2 amiga's.
