Sadly however there's still no PiP for https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/ thus i do still need this extension [note: you won't be able to test this without a VPN, coz iirc it blocks non-Australian access (also to my HUGE annoyance, i have to disable the V tracker & blocker for this site, & suffer the expletive expletive ads)].
Did you report it? As a workaround (until they fix it/if they fix it) you can add it as a web panel and use PiP from there.

Not just now [but i shall, after this post]. Can't remember if i originally raised a bug report for it [i noticed it first yonks ago].

Um, to be technical in my response... huh? Also; Whatcha talkin bout Willis?. See here... still no PiP regardless of being in WP:
Spoiler
I use ArchYour new avatar is still cracking me up, btw.
VB-72731. -
@Steffie I don't understand how it is the case that this userscript works better than Vivaldi's inbuilt PiP, but the fact is that it somehow does. I included this userscript in a bug report I sent some while ago, and hopefully the Vivaldi devs will take a look at it and use it as a basis to get the inbuilt PiP working on a large number of sites that it currently doesn't work on.
-
@valiowk Fair point, it seems. Equally, i have no understanding why that extension i posted above also worked fine for me in DM [I mean, it still works there, just not needed now], & also works fine for SBS where V does not.

Kept trying the snapshots. Hope at least final 3.4 for Mac will have sound fixed on videos for various websites: instagram, dailymail, tiktok, etc. All videos have no sound on these websites, youtube videos have it.
-
Allow for using a local image as avatar image
Not so long ago i decided to make some scripts to automatize this based on pak_mingw64, nice to see is now built in.
Allow PiP window to be larger than half the monitor size
Loving to see improvements on PiP still i feel it lacks some polishing.
An issue i encountered when testing it on youtube is that if you open the PiP video when the video is paused it can't be resumed using the PiP controls.
Other possible improvements are; volume controls (and if added option to use the mouse wheel to adjust it), single click to play/pause and maybe doble click to go full screen.
Also wanted to ask about the status of VB-39040 (extensions panels of incorrect size when using vivaldi user interface zoom), some extensions, specially uMatrix goes crazy when i use 95% scale on sites that does too many connections to the point it's impossible to see the whole list at all, not a very problematic bug for me as i just wanted to reduce the zoom to 95% so using it at 100% until it's fixed doesn't really annoy me, but it will be a nice to have feature.
I'm loving all the new features in the current snapshots it seems the next stable release will be great.

Many of us have mentioned this for some years. Iirc, the "common wisdom" was that it's not a V problem but a uM problem, & that the Dev Gorhill had declared he wasn't going to fix it coz no other browser has a scalable UI. Given since then that uM became an archived project, i presume that we now have no hope whatsoever of a solution, other than keep UI => 99% [you mentioned 95% but in all my testing over the years everything below 99% would eventually break the uM UI].

I'm noticing some performance issues related to scrolling with this build (and the new frame rendering stats are weird, so I can't tell an average framerate, just that there are a lot of dropped frames). I'm running Pop!_OS 20.04, i7-3770, 16 GiB RAM, GTX 1080. I think I've seen this with other browser-based apps before (e.g. VSCode), so it probably isn't Vivaldi-specific but stems from Chromium/Blink.
Edit: It might be a false positive. Rebooted and I think I haven't seen the issue since.

the notes section on side bar... too much sensitive, can not highlight and copy and close, unlike the other section on sidebar...

@Holly See this long thread on M3.
As you can see from the comments in this Techdows Topic, we have been expecting it “soon,” for a very long time.
Some call it vapourware, but I call it horizonware. It never gets any closer than real soon now, or when it is ready. I may be pushing up daisies before I get to use it at all, and without import of my Opera emails, it will still not be useful to me. I do not keep many emails, but those that I do keep, I need to refer to from time to time.

@npro Ta, interesting. You've found that some of them work, but the one in my pic before does not [for me]: https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/1726824003663/sbs-24x7-live-stream-nsw
-
@Steffie yeah can't access those, they need e-mail and whatever, I've clicked vods that were available in that initial link. But good you have reported it as the solution could affect more, unknown sites with vods and live-stream like that.

@Gwen-Dragon Thanks Lilo. I was briefly excited enough to make these edits:

However after relaunching Snapshot i found no improvement. Who knew that an upside-down clueless clot making entirely arbitrary edits to a critical file whilst having almost less than zero understanding would not in fact achieve a solution?

Editing notes via floating panel is "impossible" because the panel floats out. This problem was also present in the last snapshot.

it's great that we now can add a profile pic for offline profiles, thank you!
I have noticed that when I delete the used picture the old profile picture is used again.
so you should copy the profile picture inside the vivaldi profile
is this behavior a possible feature request or bug? -

Rather an FR—
I consider this as a sub-request of the one to save local files in the profile, but I cannot find it now & it depends on how it’s formulated.Umm, no, that one is only about SD thumbnails, I think you should make a new one.
