@jon So for Oktoberfest, we don't have to wait for the guy in the red suit using reindeer?
-
@TbGbe No promises, but we are getting really close.
-
@durtro: i just confirmed also that note bugs on Windows 10

Is there RC on horizon, Chrome 86 is out?

Chrome is Google, Chromium-based browsers follow about 10-15 days (Vivaldi) to more than 3+ weeks later (Chinopera ), this pre-covid. Others not at all in that timeframe (yandex, maxthon iirc). First time hearing that?

@mossman grep here I come \o/ Plain text, the beauty of Linux. Thank you @jon .
Or in my case...
Edit: but to be honest, M2 would do the job better - I only really needed to go in manually a couple of times when I needed to fix the database I had screwed up (lost connections while accessing mail over LAN).
-
I get the "Error: Upload Failed" when I try to upload image on vivaldi.net
-
@mossman O12 still got it!
(surprised it found 53 matches for that...)
-
@mossman Any word on M3?

@mossman what is that? Total... Commander's (aka "Windows Commander" totally not sued by the angelic company M$) search pop-up window for Windows? The moment Total Commander will be included in lexicons/encyclopedias as a verb for usages like the existing "grep this", "google that" I may give it some attention

@Pathduck I don't remember your nickname in the opera forums, but assume a yes, to all of your questions.

@jon: humbly asking if there will be integrations with smartphone calendars and common day-to-day task automation...
e.g:
- a meeting in the calendar is automatically created, with a drag and drop, of an e-mail message...)
- or, e-mail contacts are added to the smartphone's contacts, if someone writes me an e-mail for the first time
- or, new contacts are automatically created into my smartphone contacts' list, if a signature is found at the bottom of the e-mails I receive...
...
-
@newscpq , the calendar works with online calendars, so if you work with the same calendar on the phone and in Vivaldi, they will be in sync.
We have nice integration between the mailer and the calendar, but I am sure there will be additions later. Remember that we are delivering a TP to start with. We will then take feedback from you all with regards to version 1.0 and future versions.

Because I mostly lurked the opera.beta news group

I only asked one question, and that was if your issue is in using the latest snapshot (since this is a snapshot thread after all). And from your video, it's clearly the stable, not the snapshot. So you should make a separate thread in the relevant forum and continue there.

Shhh... I promised Steffie I wouldn't talk off-topic now, but yes - Total Commander... the go-to tool for files in Windows (like Vivaldi is the go to tool for the web). Paid a couple of bucks for a license 20 years ago and it's been with me on every system I've ever used since then (plus USB copies when on other peoples' PCs).

@mossman Those execrable peeps wot go gratuitously OT at the drop of a hat are just soooo tiresome. Onya for having the willpower to avoid that massive character flaw. Speaking of floors btw, i really wish someone would paint my front door soon, & also, gosh but it's a bleak rainy day here today. The consequence of course is that the ambiguity has put on weight, the point is taken, the elk is dead, the beast stops at Swindon, Chabrol stops at nothing, I'm having treatment... & MPFC forever.
