Bravo! Vivat Vivaldi!
-
Danke.

Not completely supported, it seems. While the engine renders the image, Image Properties just tries to download it.
-
Also, not yet enabled on Android.
-
AViF support is incomplete in Vivaldi windows desktop on windows11 at least. HDR REC.2020 files display incorrectly. This test page works correctly on Chrome, but fails on Vivaldi:

@Ihmemies Why is this a issue with AVIF images? Which images have wrong color space/range?
Had you tried with Chromium 108 to check if all is ok?
Perhaps you have not set a correct profile? See chrome://flags/#force-color-profile -
Huh. It seems to work once. Then it breaks.
5.6.2867.50 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Windows 11 Version 22H2 (Build 22621.963)- Open browser.
- Go to https://gregbenzphotography.com/hdr/ - works as intended
- Go to another HDR photo site like https://hakkarainen.kuvat.fi/HDR/ - works as intended
- Switch back to greg benz tab - HDR is broken.
- Switch to https://hakkarainen.kuvat.fi/HDR/ tab - HDR is broken too.
So HDR rendering of AVIF files seems to work once, then it breaks in Vivaldi.
In chrome AVIF files render how they are supposed to be even if I switch between multiple tabs, using Chrome Version 108.0.5359.125 (Official Build) (64-bit).Since I can't take screenshots here are those pages compared to Chrome, taken with phone camera. On right Crome renders the AVIF files with proper HDR, Vivaldi on left with broken HDR. So there's something in Vivaldi's AVIF rendering which works once but then breaks, until you restart the browser.

Which HDR profile had you set in Vivaldi by chrome://flags link?
Please report issue to Vivaldi tracker. Once that is done, share the bug number (beginning with VB-). Thanks for helping us making Vivaldi better.
-
I guess there isn't a public tracker where I can check if the bug has been already reported. Well I reported it anyways with no:
VB-94081
I assume the issue is of concern to an extremely small amount of users, but it's kind of annoying I had to install Chrome again because of this problem.
Edit:
vivaldi://flags/#force-color-profile is default both in Vivaldi and Chrome.

@Ihmemies Which color profile had you set for HDR in Vivaldi's internal chrome://flags page?
