Pls help debug/explain this site's AutoScroll incompatibility.

As is [i trust] well known by now, chromium-based browsers in Linux have no internal native autoscroll function [despite their windoze equivalents happily autoscrolling til the cows come home]. For clarity, my use of term
autoscroll
= press the mouse middle-button / wheel, move the mouse in a particular direction, lo & behold the active website pans in that direction. To get around this IMO conspicuous failing of Linux chromium-browsing, for years i have successfully used [& continue to use] the extension
AutoScroll
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/autoscroll/occjjkgifpmdgodlplnacmkejpdionan . It works not at all on any internal chromium page, but works brilliantly on a large majority of "ordinary" websites. Hence in every Linux chromium-based browser, this is always my first installed extension, followed by uMatrix.Sadly, AS never works on https://reductress.com [not in V-SS, V-S, Chromium (all in Linux still, of course)]. I visit this bookmarked site weekly, so this failure always irritates me. I've never been able to solve it... but i realise that i do not know enough to understand why, nor even if it can be solved. Now i wondered what you uber-geek wizards might have to suggest pls.
These are my AS settings:
This is what V's Inspect says for this site; is my highlighted part causal?
Ta.

Methinks that's prolly a Noooooo, then.

@Steffie I'd love to try to reproduce the issue, but I'm on "Windoze" where basic stuff actually works out of the box
Inciting holy wars aside, have you tried contacting the author of the extension about the issue?
The strikethrough on the webkit overflow shouldn't be relevant, this not being a touch device.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/-webkit-overflow-scrollingBut maybe to test you could add the declaration to another site's
html, body
using devtools, see if that recreates the issue. Not that it will help you but at least you might know the cause.I assume the
<auto-scroll>
element in the html is added by the extension? What does it contain?Another thing you could do is to save the whole page (as MHTML for example), then reduce the site to the basics needed to reproduce the issue. Then at least you'd save the author some time figuring out the problem. If they even still care about it enough that is...

A smart wise person certainly would have done that, ergo i didn't, coz i made an assumption that they've probably given up on this as it was last...
Updated
21 November 2018As for your other suggestions, they sound smart & wise as well, hence... noooooooo. For this one website only, i shall have to train myself to touch this weird thing between the monitor & moi, which looks like it has buttons & keys or something all over it. I hope it will be friendly...
