@Gregor
Hi, maybe the history file is corrupted, if you don´t care about delete it manually in your default directory or move it to a save place.
Path is published in File > Help > AboutCheers, mib
EDIT: Please close Vivaldi before moving/deleting Vivaldi files.I guess so, deleting history file solved the problem. It shouldn't be fixed like that, I need history, but anyway, thanks for the reaction.

any news on VB-72001 ?
thats about Favicons not always load for child tabs -
Ugh, new bug in this Snapshot, it seems. Pls can anyone confirm?
- Still works fine in Stable,
3.3.2022.47 / Chrome 85.0.4183.123
. - Does not work now in my Snapshot's Default profile.
- Does not work now in my Snapshot's Test profile.
What has broken:
- In text-entry fields [eg, Vivaldi Forum, Discourse-based Linux fora], copy selected text to clipboard still works BUT then middle-click paste of that text fails - nothing at all occurs.
- Ordinary copy & paste via mouse context menu, & keyboard, still work fine.
EDIT-1: A little more info: Am inserting this extra text now from my Arch Plasma VM [ie, not my real Arch Plasma that was being used above] with itsVivaldi 3.4.2038.4 / Chrome 85.0.4183.106
, ie, the recently-superseded Snapshot. Its middle-paste is still working properly. Once i post this edit i shall update it to the new version, then re-test.EDIT-2: As expected, now in the VM's
Vivaldi 3.4.2049.2 / Chrome 86.0.4240.38
, middle-click paste fails.
VB-72227 - Still works fine in Stable,
-
The most important context menu to me is the one present on any website, which is not available yet. But I do still appreciate the change.

@Komposten
Thank you, all is right again. -
I forgot to post it earlier
Chrome 86 Flags:
Many new flags added. A good number of the new flags actually match up with feature requests made by vivaldi users! Chrome is aiming to implement them first, it seems. Here's a summary of the most interesting changes:Removed:
- #pdf-two-up-view - This worked really well. It has now been merged into #pdf-viewer-update which works less well.
Added:
- #enable-native-notifications - This was missing for Chr85 which is now back, if you don't like native notifications for some reason
- #web-share - New sharing API. Vivaldi Feature Request
- #read-later - Cool feature. Vivaldi Feature Request
- #tab-groups-collapse-freezing - chrome continues to advance its tab grouping feature beyond what vivaldi offers
- #accessible-pdf-form - Sounds good, but I'm not sure how it works. I've never used a PDF with a form.
- #enable-windows-gaming-input-data-fetcher - More support for gamepad APIs, now we just need more websites that actually make use of this...
- #restrict-gamepad-access - Gamepads only over HTTPS? sure, why not.
- #color-picker-eye-dropper - Was previously in dev tools only. Vivaldi feature request - doesn't work yet, and only in colour picker form inputs
- #edit-passwords-in-settings - Makes sense Vivaldi feature request - only in
chrome://settings/passwords
- #mixed-forms-disable-autofill &
- #mixed-forms-interstitial - More warnings for forms not secured properly
- #enable-incognito-shortcut-on-desktop - Private mode desktop shortcut Vivaldi feature request - I don't yet see how to access this
- #content-settings-redesign - If you fiddle with the
chrome://settings/content/
page this changes it up slightly - #enable-avif - New image format support.
- #well-known-change-password - More support enabling users to practice better security
-
@Steffie Confirmed.

Never heard of this new format before, and apparently it's already supported and enabled

Wiped as soon as you launch the browser, so we're forced to wait until 3.4, where it's confirmed working. I think it needs 86.

How does one recognise a naive notification from a less-naive one? Btw., I hate naive notifications.
(Notice the lack of t)
-
@potmeklecbohdan Native ones go into your OS/DM notification centre, and can be controlled there. Chrome ones show up as a chrome-style popup.

Fix VB-59501 please!

while you guys are improving menus, be sure to implement VB-72248...

Just saw some posts beseeching solutions to some pet bugs. These worthy requests reminded me of a very old pet bug of mine that, quite unbelievably, still remains unfixed. It's ridiculous! I reported it ages ago, all the way back in
3.4.2049.2 / Chrome 86.0.4240.38
, & yet despite the several dozens of minutes that have lazily elapsed since then, i am shocked to discover this bright new morning that still it remains broken in my Snapshot3.4.2049.2 / Chrome 86.0.4240.38
. Yes i know, right... what on earth do these Devs do with all their time? It's hard for me to recall clearly now, with so much time having elapsed, exactly what the bug# was, but it might possibly have been VB-72227. Pretty soon if this abrogation of responsibility continues i shall have no recourse other than to demand a full refund of the precious hard-saved money i paid for this dubious product.
Spoiler

@Steffie I know, right? You've been waiting nearly as long as I have for my pets, vertical bookmarks bar and plaintext-copy (about 5 years - also several dozen minutes). If I don't get some love here, soon, I'm gonna jump ship for a decidedly inferior (also free) product, just so that I can enjoy more misery. After all, I like the way it hurts, because it feels so satisfying to whinge.
