Pinning Tab Stacks (Weird Bug...)
-
Say I have one tab and a tab stack:
If I do my keyboard shortcut for pinning a tab (Alt+P for me) while on the tab stack, this happens:
Going to the second tab in the tab stack makes this happen:
The tab cycler for me is set to cycle in tab order, but it shows this:
Rather than showing blank page, blank page, tab 1.
I want to report this as a bug, but I don't know how to word it... -
Just for case, do you use cycling by tab bar order?
The problem is, when a tab is pinned, it's moved to the start. This happens for the first tab of the stack, but not for the other, probably coz V still doesn't allow pinning stacks from context menu (so doesn't handle this).
Just editing explanation from another my post about a pretty similar bug:
# [] ... stack # '' ... active tab (coz why not?) # initial layout a [ 'b' c ] # after pinning the stack... # how the tab bar looks [ 'b' c ] a # how it looks for Chromium (& thus Vivaldi) 'b' a c
I sometimes abuse such bugs when I open a new tab while inside a stack (I have open new tabs inside stack disabled) coz then I can get to it directly from the parent, w/o having to go through the rest of the stack.

Yes

I’m not sure if you should report it & maybe add a reference to the other bug (or just a request to add this info to that one). Anyway, if you do, please post the bug ID here.
