skype web and a blank screen?



  • I was trying to access web.skype.com via Vivaldi and i can login fine but then it takes me to a blank page. I get a normal page in EDGE on the same computer, I get a normal screen on Vivaldi in Linux, but Vivaldi windows gives me a blank screen? I am also able to access whatsapp web no problem. I tried going back to default settings (deleted the C:\Users\dhighfill\AppData\Local\Vivaldi directory) and that didnt help.

    Help?

    @alv Can you share some more details about your system, like exact Windows and Vivaldi versions?

    I'm using Windows 10 2004 and Vivaldi Snapshot 3.4.2038.4 64-bit and Skype loads perfectly fine.



  • Sure, sorry - So maybe its how windows is setup that is affecting Vivaldi but not EDGE?.

    Restart the browser
    Did

    Make sure the browser is up to date
    It is

    Test in a different profile
    I only have one profile, and I deleted the profile (refer to my initial post)

    Disable Extensions
    I dont have any extensions

    Lower half of an extension card on the Extension page
    No extensions

    Enable (Third-Party) Cookies
    Was enabled by default

    Disable Tracker and Ad blocker
    Did

    Delete Browsing Data
    Will try and then edit this post accordingly

    Test in another browser
    Did that, refer to my initial post

    Check your security software
    Apparently my sec software is ok with Vivaldi, no erros.

    Found a bug?

    UPDATE. Clearing browser cache did it, or i am guessing a combination of clearing cache and deleting the profile.
    Ironically I am not able to login to the vivaldi forum from vivaldi... can't win. Oh well, vivaldi's flawless split screen support in combo with whatsapp and skype is what i really needed.
