Sarcastic comment on Twitter

Hello community, I am not sure if this is the right place. But I got a very sarcastic answer to my last tweed about vivaldi.
Yeah thank you for implementing more and more Google services and becoming redundant as browser. Awesome achievement.
What could the user mean and what would an adequate reaction? I think he needs a more technical answer.

@jcgerhard , I have received many responses of this type from others over the years. Many times it was enough to simply list the functions that Vivaldi has or a screenshot with splitscreen, notes and chat open in web panel, asking if his Chrome can also do it.
-
@JohnConnorBear , I see Edge as redundant, because it offers nothing significantly different from what Chromium or Chrome itself offers.
If a format, which is Blink becomes standard on the web, it is questionable whether it can be called redundant. Can a CDplayer be referred to as redundant, if the brand is other than Sony?
Vivaldi would be redundant if, like others, he had limited himself to sticking his logo on top of Chromium, which is obviously not the case, nor does it even look like Chromium. -
@Catweazle Edge has one massive advantage over other browsers - it has access to Microsoft's proprietary codecs and DRM. This means its the only browser capable of delivering video streaming (e.g. from Netflix) in full HD.
But in most other respects, you are right that it is redundant.
-
@LonM , OK, but Chrome (or /and Firefox) also doesn't have access to Windows codecs and DRM, that is, they are equally redundant on Windows with Edge at this point. This is why it is absurd to speak of redundancies in these matters.
Each one has his preferences in a browser, so the only thing that matters is the functionality it has and what the user is interested in, not that it works with Blink, Gecko, WebKit or others. -
Hello @All: thank you for your answers! I checked the profile and some tweets of the user. IMHO the only reaction is something like βNobody forces you to to use vivaldi. If you donβt trust it...go with god and use whatever you like!β When reading some older tweets of him it feels a little bit like agitation and racism. So we should not put to much time in this. I personally won't have something to do with this kind of people!

@jcgerhard In cases with users like this the best option is often to not respond.
-
I think that Vivaldi is not a browser for people who only use it to check their mail, post on a social network and little else. For this, of course, the EDGE or any other also works.
It is not worth getting into deep discussions in these cases. -
