Importing Blink-based Opera bookmarks
-
I would like to switch to Vivaldi as the spiritual successor to Opera 12.x. However, I've been using Blink-based Opera for a while now, and have a lot of bookmarks in it. However—maybe I'm just missing it—but I can't figure out how to import bookmarks from Opera 15+. Is it possible, and if so, how do I do it?

Benk,
You should be able to import from several different browsers:
Click on File –> Import Data
Pick 'Opera version 15+' from the dropdown menu.If that doesn't work, Export your Opera Bookmarks as HTML, then pick "Bookmarks HTML File" from the 'Import Data' menu.

Good idea (the last one), but modern Opera (v. 15+) has no export feature. Heh.

Aaiiee! You're right!
I've spent the past week using several programs, apps, extensions and 'other' techniques to export/save/import/compare/sort Bookmarks before December and opera.link closes forever.

"…December and opera.link closes forever..."
Wha!?!?!First I've heard. Still using Opera 12.x as my bookmark manager a it is by far the most efficient at that.
Oh well I guess I'll have to start to work on some kind of bookmarking system.
Biggest issue from my point of view, is that Chromium browsers seem to have No Bleeping Way to EXPORT new bookmarks to any format... to create at least a CSV or better yet a db.

Unfortunately it's true but there is a Migrate feature to bring Opera Link over to Opera Sync. If you have Opera 15+ then be careful with the Migrate feature and Opera Sync or you will wind up with more duplicates than you can shake a stick at so back up your data before you ride that crazy train.
Opera Link
Opera Link will close in December 2015. At that time, you will no longer be able to synchronize your browsing data using the Opera Link service. Also, you will no longer be able to access your data through the Opera Link web interface.
But, don't worry. Our new generation of Opera browsers allows you to sync bookmarks, Speed Dials, open tabs, browsing history, settings, passwords and more through our new synchronization service baked right into the browser. We even built a sweet tool for you to migrate your Opera Link bookmarks.

"Opera 15+" does not appear in the options. I believe this may be because I only have Opera Beta installed.
