Google Fi?

I don't see much about privacy advocates being outright opposed to using Google Fi as a service. Is this just an obvious disregard "because Google"? Or is it really unable to monitor and track as a phone service?

@KSB , I personally cannot comment on Google FI, not even being able to use this service, as well as many other users who do not reside in the US.
But that Google is not exactly a beacon in privacy, I think that this has been commented quite a few times regarding other products and services of this company and also that the regulation of the privacy in the US is quite lacking,
Therefore I do not think it is necessary to include in the debate each and every one of the, in other aspects good, Google services and even less the local ones. Google generally makes money by trafficking our data -
@Catweazle yeah..i looked at their privacy policy specifically for Fi and it seems to paint the same picture, or what you'd expect. I recently got a GrapheneOS phone and I'm thinking that based on what I read in their privacy policy that this phone may not even work with their service anyway. Probably for the best.

@KSB , it is a pity that there are few mobiles that support Linux, to be able to leave having to choose only between Apple or Google.
Basically a pity for the missing Windows Phone, which was gorgeous and also the safest mobile OS, almost impossible to hack as it was shown in a hacker competition some time ago, where iOS and Android fell in a matter of minutes and WP left it impossible, that after half an hour they only managed to access cookies. -
