Hello everybody,
I'm a Jeweller from Lancashire in the UK & obsessed by all my gadgets, from Android (Nexus 7 and Samsung Note 3) to Apple (iPad Mini and MacBook Air). I love to tinker with my toys, fiddling, setting up apps, browsers etc.

Hi everybody
I'm Raymond, Not too many new things on the internet so I wanted to try a new browser, And here i am on the road again. I think I found a new home -
Hi everyone. :cheer:
I'm a technical/marketing writer living in China with my Chinese wife and Chinese dog.
All of us are looking for a better, more powerful browser than Ch***, F*****x, and I******* E*******.
Vivaldi appears well on their way to setting itself up to succeed in the browser wars. At this stage, I've already made Vivaldi my default browser and am looking forward to seeing the add-ons and extensions start to roll-out.
The community Vivaldi has created seems to be far superior in terms of user feedback/technical support than any of their competitors. By far.
Also I'm interested in reading about, and discussing the role of browsers in our fast-changing world. Since Vivaldi isn't trying to be all things to all people, I am pretty certain there won't be "issues" with using it here in China. That's probably the most important point for me.

New to Vivaldi, Opera, and all other semi-arcane browsers. Chrome was getting boring and it was slowing my computer down and I read about Vivaldi. I did the download, and found that it looks (and operates) very much like the browser I created for my (jailbroken  ) iPhone.
I don't have too much tech experience, but I know my way around some linux code, I've set up virtual machines and used Software In the Loop (SITL) and connected it with Mission Planner. I test quadcopters with friends as part of a Navy offshoot campaign, and use SITL extensively. I took the Apple Developer course, so I'm pretty decent in that as well.
I run Windows 8.1, I own an older iMac, and my virtual machines all run Ubuntu. Not much to say other than i'm an avid swimmer and musician, currently 17 (just) and working through college.
So greetings to all from Hollywood, MD!

Hi, I'm Garry from Alberta, Canada. I used Opera since way back like many others here. I've been so glad to discover the Vivaldi browser. There is nothing special about me except I have a physical disability that makes using a computer a bit of a challenge. Some of my comments in the forum directly relate to how certain functions of the browser make it easier/more difficult for disabled people. I hope the developers will be able to make the browser in such a way that it doesn't become difficult for the very very few special needs people that could be affected.
P.S. I like fishing, inventing and 3D printing.

Hello. I just found about Vivaldi today. It's a very exciting project after the recent weirdness surrounding Opera. I've been an Opera user since Project Magic and clung for some time to the hope that Opera's switch to webkit would be a good thing. I never expected it to be so feature-barren, nor for the Linux version to take so long to appear.
I eventually gave in and jumped ship, settling on Maxthon and occasionally Chrome.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Vivaldi evolves.

The fact you're even here (and where and how you heard of the browser) is a very good sign. This is one of the most dynamic kickoffs (no, take it back, THE MOST dynamic kickoff) for a niche browser I have ever seen. The more people interested, the better.

New to Vivaldi.
Worked with Slackware personally since mid 90's
Liked Opera before major changes then went to SeaMonkey
Saw Vivaldi and am trying this out.
There seems no way to get bookmarks from SeaMonkey- anyone have any ideas?
And does anyone have idea how to dump youtube from browser- interferes with movie downloads
On software my likes is simple, clean, no-bloat, and fast clean functioning which translates to simple to use.
I hate eye candy!Cheers Aslacker

As to bookmarks, export to HTML and then import the bookmarks HTML file into Vivaldi.
As to "dump YouTube from browser" - what does that mean? How does one dump a website from a browser?

I was trying to find an alternative browser and came to Vivaldi yesterday. I am also new to Opera community. Liked the story behind Vivaldi so decided to give it a try. It is also very unusual for me to join any forum, but hey I am here!

Hello everyone!
Been an Opera user, still using Opera and Vivaldi, at least until Vivaldi becomes stable. Currently excitedly waiting for mobile sync from Vivaldi.

Hello all friends,
I started using Opera as my main browser in something like 2002-2003 or so, as far as I remember and I'm still using it. I used to be a member of My Opera community until it was closed. Pretty happy to get back and may be switch to Vivaldi (although I'm more of a Wagnerian or a Killing Joke gatherer !).
Congratulations to all developers for the work already done. Please be indulgent with my English, I'm french.

Heard about Vivaldi Mail and now i use the Browser too

TZO2K15 here, I was a dedicated Opera user since 2001, that is until the neutering of the most unique and beautiful browser online was copy/pasted into the **off-white blandness of mediocrity that is chrome's default…
I hope to see this browser with better skins/colors other than the win 8 flatness that is now standard for browsers these days...Thank you to everyone involved with the resurrection of our favored browser!
**BTW, I detest white as I'm an illustrator, and like a blank piece of paper, it will always look unfinished to me!

Hey, I'm a programmer and Linux junky/power user. Read an article about the Vivaldi browser on Ars Technica and didn't like the way Firefox was neuting (EVE Online jargon, not a typo) keybindings. Loving the browser so far, and joining the community was an obvious follow-up step.

Not really "new" to here, but I'm a PC gamer and IT student from southern Massachusetts. I'm using Chrome for now, but I am really looking forward to Vivaldi and am really considering making it my primary browser as soon as it reaches beta.

Opera user (since Opera 7) and long time Opera community member.
Loaded Tech Preview 3 and I'm impressed!
Hoping the word gets out to all the old Opera community members and former Opera browser users that there's a new King on the horizon.Keep up the great work Vivaldi Team! :woohoo:
