@potmeklecbohdan: Admittedly, I'm more of a consumer then creator...
-
@potmeklecbohdan: My mistake
-
[Regression] Dead bird shown without crash on closing (VB-63880)
incredible
-
@reddy-shyam: When we actually release the final you will receive updates. If you want to use RCs from the stable stream in the mean time you need to manually install them.
We cannot enable automatic updates for stable stream RCs yet because it would cause all stable users to upgrade and we would have effectively released.
-
@ruarí: Ah! Got you, let me do that. Thanks for the prompt reply.
-
@reddy-shyam: Or if you don't need the listed fixes, you can just wait and you will get the build when we actually update stable, which is likely to be very soon given we are into RC status now.
-
Is that the Norwegian Blue?
E's prob'ly pinin' for the fjords!
-
@pathduck: You noticed the alt text then?
-
@Pathduck So now instead of seeing dead birds on exit you see this one when you look at the thread of the snapshot in which it was fixed…
-
Fixing VB-63880 is a good one. I saw it a few (rare) times but never impacted me. Just to show that even the bugs in Vivaldi are "well-behaved"
Good job ! -
@Pathduck Now for something completely different..That was a silly tv show lol
-
"[Tabs][Regression] Closed windows lost from trash on browser restart (VB-68347)"
Really? I thought that was W.A.D. Just how long does Vivaldi keep that list of closed windows/tabs?
-
@gwen-dragon: we collect them from all the people who think they see "dead birds" on exit, when really they are just resting.
-
Are you guys planning to have the regression* with empty extension icons showing for extensions with no icon or meaningful options page fixed before release?
Not a big deal but I now have an empty icon in the (hidden) extensions bar, for a the Spatial Navigation extension which has no options and no icon anyway. It should really not be shown. But I understand that it might be hard to parse an extension to know whether to show an icon or not.
* I know it was caused by the "fix" for VB-60321 but IMO it's a regression because it was fine for me before
-
@Pathduck I have just filed a bug report for this (VB-68442). I don't think it will be fixed in time for release at this late stage though.
-
"[Regression] Dead bird shown without crash on closing" - please focus your feedback on serious regressions since 3.0 stable. This is neither serious nor since 3.0 stable. Just saying.
-
@Pathduck In the meantime...
.button-toolbar.replacemewithyourextensionID {display: none;}
-
@rseiler: It is something we have been meaning to fix for a while and we get a lot of complaints about and we had a fix. Should we not have taken it?
-
@Ruarí Many upvotes, so apparently you should not have.
Awaiting requests to reintroduce dead birds.
-
@hadden89: the problem is that extension icons that should go into address bar are gone (not really gone, just moved to the extensions section)
