control click on previous/next button fails
-
Am experiencing this issue too.
modedit split from https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/3185/feature-request-control-click
-
@winstondared Yeah, like @Gwen-Dragon said, that already works on my version of Vivaldi. What version are you running?
-
@nomadic Have added to my signature. Neither command click nor control click is opening in new tab. Thanks
-
@Gwen-Dragon Thanks. Submitted bug.
-
This concerns only the macOS version and is wrongly posted in the Windows sub-category.
-
I did make a separate topic but my thread was merged here by a mod.
-
It states it was split from a "feature request" thread but I'm sure it will be fixed anyway
-
This bug persists for me in the new version. Am surprised there's not more correspondence on this. Is anyone else able to reproduce this bug on Mac OS? I unfortunately am unable to test on another machine 'what with one thing or another'.

Cmd-click on Back/Forward works for me. So does middle-click.
-
@winstondared
cmd+click
on back/forward arrows is the same as clicking on the arrows.shift+click
does nothing.alt+click
opens previous/next page in a background tab.crtl+click
triggers history list. -
@Streptococcus Thanks for the feedback. How strange, not for me!
@hlehyaric Thanks. Aha - so it alt click I am looking for! I thought i'd tred that!
I wonder if this is intended? Command click is more consistent with the windows ctrl click and with the general browser experience of opening links in new tabs.

Am returning to this as this annoyance persists. Is there a way for me to customise the behaviour of back/forward buttons opening a new tab so it can use the command button?
