Post 3.0 updates – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1906.3
-
@Komposten Yeah, the previous snapshot worked just fine. That flag seems to default to Enabled, there was no need to manually activate it.
Hopefully this means it should be easy to locate the regression. -
Native notifications never, ever worked for me, either on stable or snapshot. And it's a critical issue since we are going to need them for Mail/Feeds.

[BUG?] preferences are a black square with no content, in private mode (only)
try this:- start Vivaldi in incognito
- assign a keyboard shortcut to settings (e.g. ALT+P)
- press ALT+P
You'll see that the preferences are just a black square with nothing in it.
To use the preferences, you'll have to start a new (normal) Vivaldi window and press ALT+P.
Preferences are usable only in Vivaldi windows that are not incognito.
-
@newscpq Not Black here, but nothing to see and totally unusable. I have seen this bug before ages ago. Best report it again. Use Windows Taskbar to close it.
-
@pesala: VB-67131
-
As a big keyboard user I'm kind of disappointed the Alt-key bug is not fixed
Maybe next one -
@Pathduck Me too, but it is easy to work around.
Press Alt, then F (or whatever) to open the menus.
-
@evilspark: Yes, as I said, restart
-
If that truly does not work, use the link and follow the instructions. There is zero need to download and build the media codecs for any Linux user.

Hello everybody,
Is it just me or are tab stacks not working properly?
Using the mouse, I can not select a tab from a tab stack which isn't already the selected tab.
Same both on Win10 and Ubuntu 18.04.
(I can Ctrl+Tab, but with 91 tabs open it can take a long time!!!)
-
@cheekybuddha Confirm.
-
@cheekybuddha No problem here using the thin tab strips to select tabs within a stack.
A stack of 91 tabs is unusable. Split it into at least three stacks or separate windows. The window panel is best for managing tab stacks.
-
@Pesala It works if you using the thin tab strips to select tabs within a stack. If you hover your mouse over the group and click on the thumbnails, it doesn't work.
-
A stack of 91 tabs is unusable
Maybe for you, but it's fine for me! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
(except when you can't click on the thumbnails to switch!!! -
Is Windows getting silent auto update too?
-
-
@cheekybuddha Have you reported it yet? If you can post the VB number?
-
@saudiqbal Is planned, but not ready yet.

@Folgore101
Reported - will post number when I get the email -

VB-67141 Regression: Can not select tab from tab stack thumbnail
