Saving password for unsecure site
-
My OpenWRT router's administaration on private IP address is accessed via https. Vivaldi likes to complaing it is not a secure site and I always have to enable an exception. Also, even though I enter my password, it is never offered to be saved. Is it related? Is it expected? Can I force Vivaldi to save the password?
-
How exactly does one do that though? I tried following this: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/luci/getting_rid_of_luci_https_certificate_warnings
I had to fix file permissions based on this: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/41366/unable-to-import-ca/17
now the certificate is listed under "servers" in chrome://settings/certificates
but my router's page is still not trusted. Any pointers? I have no idea what I am making wrong.

These are the screenshots, are they selfexplanatory or should I provide different ones?

Yes, I restarted Vivaldi.
It does not like the certificate even when I access it via a doman name:
CanI sign a certificate witha root CA on my own?

Perfect, did the trick, thank you!

But actually, it is now secure on 192.168.2.1 too, so apparently IPs can be secured.

@felagund Does "password save" work for you now?
Yes, it does!
