More Advanced Installation options

  • So the browser touts itself as being for power users and having advanced features; is there any way of having more advanced features during the installation ? Such as: - Choosing to have an icon on the desktop or not - Choosing to have the browser pinned to taskbar/start screen or not - Choosing to add a group to the start menu or not - Option to have no bookmarks, import a bookmark file, import from a browser, or load the basic set of bookmarks - Choosing a home page or using the default - Loads the tutorial notifications or not All of these could be boxes to be ticked in the advanced installation. This would allow a power user to quickly customize his browser during installation, and just be ready to go once it's installed.

Just as an observation, while many of the items you listed are interesting or useful options to include in an installer, these are still early days for the browser itself. Right now, I think full concentration is, and should be, focused upon debugging the browser and making its functionality even smoother while moving it on to beta, then final-version status. As it stands currently, the options you pointed out can be set from within the browser itself or on the user's desktop post-installation.
