New features for Clock and Popout video – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1874.7

All sounds are great, especially the rooster lol.
In fact a rooster should be the photo of this snapshot @Ruarí ! -
@EvilSpark See how to enable vivaldi://experiments so that you do not have to do this.
-
Hey! Thanks again for your work. I like that alarm and countdown functions, but it would be great to also have a timer function. It would be a huge update for me.
Offtopic: I'm still eager for email client in Vivaldi, but I don't see any mentions about it Is it still in work or it's better to deal with that awful outlook client?
-
@Fukurokudzu See this thread Any word on M3 Internal Mail Client
-
Apologies if this has been already reported but, after installing this snapshot, it appears I can not add nicknames or descriptions to bookmarks.
-
The native notifications on Windows 10 are finally back to normal, appearing as expected in the Action Center. Thanks!
As other user noticed, at times you get the same notification twice, particularly for Reddit. -
I received one email from the newsletter talking about something that would be unwrapped this next Wednesday, is the scheduled release day to version 3.0, isn't?
-
I apologize. Please disregard my previous comment regarding bookmark nicknames and descriptions.
I had old bookmarks with the same nickname in my bookmark recycle bin. Clearing it out resolved it.
-
@Pesala Thats just for css files. Not for JS files
-
The clock is great! Is there a way to set it to display 2:00 PM instead of 14:00 PM?
-
@JimTDI It uses the Long Date Format of your OS. In Windows settings, Time and Date, Change Date formats, select the Long Date Format that you prefer. You can also get rid of the leading zero. Restart Vivaldi to see the change. (bookmark "vivaldi://restart" to save time).

@Ruarí Is someone writing a new section for the online Help to explain how to use the new Status Bar Clock? It is getting increasingly complex as time goes by.

Is this your indirect way of saying you are volunteering?
-
@mtaki14 No. Just reminding the team that this should ideally be done before the Stable release next Wednesday. Probably, one of the other staff members could fit this in.
-
So today, for the first time, I actually got a little excited about one of the new reveals. If you know anything about me, you know I don't get "excited" (or angry, or upset, or scared...) about anything. Today I got a little tingle in my excitement center.
-
@Ruarí If the Stable comes out on Wednesday, please fix the following clock problems:
- the annoying ..ss... in the "Orario" field (Time)
- align the two buttons "Salva predefinito" and "Avvio" (Save Preset and Start)
- when the translation for "Conuntdown" will be inserted remember that in many languages the translation will be longer, for example in Italian is "Conto alla rovescia"
-
@Folgore101 I still can't replicate #1 (I don't see seconds at all in the popup)
To solve #2 and #3 popup just must be wider (if need by the locale).
Or maybe the buttons should be taller and wrap onto two row.
Guess we'll know at RC (when usually locales are updated). -
FYI : RIght after the installation of the update, the PiP button wasn't visible on Youtube videos. I had to restart the browser to see it back.
-
@Ornorm And, something to add but I don't remember if it was the case in previous versions, when I close the PiP window, the video pauses automatically (which isn't, as per my point of view, not the expected behaviour).
Indeed :- from standard view to PiP, the video continues smoothly
- from PiP to standard view, the video pauses
-
Been like that for a few snapshots at least.
