@iAN-CooG Obviously, vertical videos are better suited for mobile phones, but only very few will be worth watching. After all, what can one fit within 10 seconds, or whatever the limit is? Still, some people are expert with video or art, while most of the people are just showing off. That's kids for you.

@Pathduck Yes, feature creep is a real danger. We have seen it before:
- Bookmarks Bar
- Image Capture Tool
- The Status Bar Clock
- Customising of Toolbars
It takes some courage to listen to long-term users and stop adding every little option. Build the basic functions in the first round, then get on with something else. Later, when the enthusiasm has worn off, if there is a real need for other features like rotation or sound controls they can be added later.

Instead of feature enhancements, can we PLEASE get this video lockup bug fixed? I still have lockups on sites with preview videos with this snapshot. This is the same issue as the last few (4-5?) snapshots. There have been many of us struggling with this lockup, the last few snapshots have many reports of this lockup. Nobody has even acknowledged these multiple reports. @Gwen-Dragon
I posted some specific information about how I was able to reproduce the lockup in the previous snapshot, in one of the last few posts of the entire thread. I don't know how to link the specific post, but if you go through my post history, I have only posted about this bug in the recent history. Warning: one site in question is ADULT and NSFW. I do not use or condone that site, but it was one that had a severe issue when tested.

As it happens, I had no problems there using an incognito window

Sorry for the lack of adult warning, I will edit my post above.
There are many sites listed in the previous few snapshots. The XVideo (ADULT SITE) one is one that it happens very consistently and reproducibly. I just went through wikipedia "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_hosting_services" site by site and that is how I stumbled across the XVideo (NSFW) being the most repeatable. Other sites on that list do it too, as well as pixabay.com/videos/search that was reported by someone else in one of the previous snapshot threads.
Edited to say: I personally believe may be related to a particular hardware device or video card type, but I have no proof of that. It only happens on Vivaldi, not Chrome, Firefox, or IE11.

Is anyone else experiencing the following issue:
- Open any website
- Open the developer tools (e.g., by pressing F12)
- Press the right mouse button on the webpag that is opened besides the developer tools
- Choose "Reload" on the context menu
The whole UI flashes a gray background with the Vivaldi logo in the middle and the reload doesn't seem to happen properly.
However, if I press Ctrl+R, F5, or the reload button on the toolbar besides the address bar, everything works as expected.
I'm just checking with you guys if this is a known issue or if I should just report it as a new bug.

@Galileo Is the PiP window looking like this? I have issues with this for at least 10 snapshots. On YT as well. To fix it I need to switch to 240p, and then the PiP popup is fine, and I can go back to 1080p or other resolutions after that. Very weird. If you look in the attached picture you can see the frame of the PiP window, the audio plays, but no image.

@Hadden89 Yeah, it likely depends on some weird interaction/specific PC config. In vmware it works OK for me. The problem is both with the actual PC and a Vivaldi update. I made a video a while ago illustrating how PiP used to work great yet it stopped working on some of the 2.9 snapshots. I just hope that this other person has the same issue so we can check what's the common factor in our PCs.
I suspect vmware works because the virtual SVGA "GPU" has only simple capabilities. I assume it would work just as fine with the basic VGA driver if you uninstall the GPU (I have a 1070ti) and cut the net so Windows 10 cannot automatically install Nvidia's driver and is forced to stay with the generic VGA.
However, with all this, PiP used to work until this Vivaldi update, so there's something in it that broke it. Most probably inside Chromium, because Edge Chromium exhibits the same issue.The bug is at the end of the video:
