I get this notice that I need to use a different browser to watch content in HI definition. What's up with that?

@fastfreddy123 Unfortunately, lacking video decoder + paid licence fee, Vivaldi is not able to play Amazon Prime HD videos.
Currently Vivaldi Technologies can not pay regular fees per browser installation to Amazon to get HD access. That is a known issue. FYI: Is bug VB-54810 "Video quality in Amazon Prime Video is SD only (HD or above is not available)"

You can always add it as an app and use it that way. Its what I do.

You mean the Windows App? Yes, that works.

A fix is internally tested for a 3.5 snapshot.

Works now in 3.5 Snapshot.
Note that for Amazon Prime HD to work, you will need to use Developer Tools to first clear all site storage. To do so, go to the Prime video website, right click on the page and choose: “Inspect → Application (tab) → Clear Storage → Clear site data”. After this you will need to login again.
