Fat address bar with a larger font size for the address field...
-
Please add an option to set a fat address bar with a larger font size for the address field. To save screen space, I don't want to increase the size of the whole interface, I just want to for the address bar. I want to set the font size to 14, to make it easier to see what I'm typing and to reduce typos. This will also mean larger buttons and icons for the address bar, which will also be beneficial for putting the analog clock there to make it larger for better visibility and details. Whether this font size setting also affects the address drop down menu can be optional.

Considering the importance of the Address Bar, I think this is a good idea.

I'm not sure what the benefit of a larger input field or toolbar would be - the main toolbar icons are already larger than Chrome for example, but a larger font size for the URL would indeed be nice.
Right now it can be done with this:
.addressfield form input.url { font-size: 14px !important; }
-
Firefox added this in v75 and now there's a huge backlash against it.
Toying with basic functions such as this isn't a good idea. -
@TsunamiZ Also a good thing for those with visual impairments. Very easy to make a typo in the address bar and not realize it. Then end up redirected to some typosquatting site.
So you even say it could be a security issue. -
@scrutinizer I saw that in the nightly before and I was sure that they are going to put it into firefox and I'm very happy that people hating it. quick commands window is already enough and a much better alternative for such a feature.

this is requested as an option, so only people who want it would enable it.

I've turned on customizations, specified a folder, added that code to what I already had there, and restarted V. And nothing. Does each mod need its own .css file? I would think not.

@paul1149 The code changed through time. Now it's
.UrlBar-UrlField { font-size: 14px; }

@potmeklecbohdan Perfect. Thanks very much! Very nice feature.
