Built-in Ad Blocker – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1848.4
-
@electronicboy: Other sites have the same problem, f.i. I can't play videos from Reddit. I disable a random subset of extensions until it starts working, then I restart the browser and it's broken again. This began happening fairly recently, in the last 2-3 snapshots or so. I switched to stable and everything started working, with all my extensions enabled.

@t0yz: mate, this is a snapshot, it's meant to be broken
Not really. It's for testing new features.
See if that helpsExactly, it's meant for testing new features that might break things, and as you edited, conflicts with 3rd party extensions may occur too.
That's why I'm patient, and wait for stable releases -
Awesome! Thanks for listening.

@hexianpeel: Afaik there is a blogpost planned that will answer most of your questions I would think, but not just yet, so hope thats ok

Bugs I got in the previous Snapshot release remain. I have reported them (VB-64557).
I also got a bug with the Vivaldi menu by accessing to it from the Vivaldi button. It showed me an empty menu. I fixed it by going to Vivaldi settings, clicking on "horizontal menu" then "Vivaldi button" for the menu position.

Did anyone ask what lists they they use?

@Semenov-Sherin Seems to be easylist

If this can be a good ad blocker and trackers I may switch to my default. Always like the customization but with privacy protection built in would be amazing. Keep up the good work!

@Pesala Thanks, I didn't know that. I guess I should better save my session manually then...
