is there way to have Opera style 'workspaces' in Vivaldi ?

@matiasmovie The Two-Level Tab Stacking gives you a full width tab bar for your workgroup. And I agree with you that it doesn't feel as slick as the Opera workspace. However, the functionality is good enough for me personally.

I do not like this option, moves and takes some space to display the page
Opera workspace is still better to sort tabs. -
@matiasmovie I feel you. Probably you have a smaller screen. My screen is pretty big and it doesn't interfere with my work. I guess it's subjective then. I still don't think there's anything wrong with using Opera unless you have super secretive data that you don't want to be sold. Even Vivaldi has our data and they use it for sure. When you have a free product, then you yourself are the product.

@matiasmovie I also have a small screen and have been working on a mod that will display a condensed vertical tab bar when not hovered (unfortunately only works for left side tabs).
I will try to post it soon but can also give you a link.

I also have a small screen
I do not know if it's small, I have 23.8 inch FHD
Generally, I like the function from the opera, all tabs can be sorted in groups, Tab Stack is also ok, but it takes space on the belt
-
@code3 That's interesting. Please share your experience I'd like to know how you'd feel about it

@matiasmovie I'm with you on that. Honestly Opera's workspace is the cleanest out of all browsers I've tried imho. I followed this tutorial and don't use the left panel. Just using Two-Level Tab stacks and lock the 2nd row. Your screen is pretty big too so you should be fine. Just sharing my thoughts not saying it's wrong or right since it's also subjective.

@code3 I'm not sure how to apply your settings with those codes. Is Vivaldi open source and you're modifying the code? Would you please share a screenshot of your outcome?
-
@mrtabaa I can show you later.

As I wrote earlier

@matiasmovie I think this is the max this software offers currently. Why don't you use Opera? All free companies use or trade your data anyways.

Becouse I like lot of function in vivaldi
example Group tabs by domain
And of course Vivaldi is more customizable -

Perhaps, but some more than others.

@code3 True. Tor is the way to go for sensitive and no share of data. All other data I have is all encrypted and no browser can read. The rest I don't care if they sell. Your situation might be different.

Yes Vivaldi has lots of tab management features, sessions, tab stacks etc. All the functionality is there.
But I'd agree with the Original Poster - Opera workspaces is a superior UI for accessing collections of tabs. Vivaldi seems clunky and hard work in comparison.

Upvote for Workspaces as Opera has.
A few days ago I heared about Vivaldi and that its from the former devs of Opera.
Vivaldi has an email-client build in - cool. Like Opera in the beginning, which I really missed when removed.
I'm bought to switch. But, I prefer the Workspaces as Opera has.
As soon Vivaldi has that, I switch from Opera. The Tab-Stacks, Profiles, Sessions etc are great.
When Workspaces also could have its own Bookmarkbars (and/or) global- even best. -
@DutchHarry Vote for Tab group switching with hiding tabs (Panorama, workspaces) and/or function of "workspaces" as in the new Opera.
Vote for the first post if you haven't already done so. (Voting again will remove your vote).

@DutchHarry Vivaldi 6.0 now has WORKSPACES! Time to switch from Opera, I guess.
