Features that would make me use Vivaldi
-
These are the things that I would really like to see in Vivaldi: • Aero transparency on title bar with tabs on the title bar - I know you can enable "native window", which gives an aero glass title bar, but tabs are still underneath on their own non-transparent bar, which I don't like. • Skin customisation where you can change the button images, etc - I don't like the flat UI's a lot of people are moving towards, so if I could modify it that would be great. • Multi-row tabs, much like what's in Opera Presto • Download manager like DownThemAll, where you can select batch links to download based on regex's, specify folder to put them in, etc. • Inbuilt ability to install userscripts, with compatibility for Greasemonkey functions. • Don't disable to ability to customise things such as search engines, like Opera did. By far the biggest one of these I want is the first one:

I would love to see download queue where I would download 1 file at a time, so that I can click multiple files to download at once.

You have Tampermonkey for userscripts.
OK, that's good.
Native windows buttons are about blink I think, also chrome doesn't have native buttons as far as I remember ( I could be wrong I never used it)
Well, when I use bigmuscle's aero glass utility in Windows 8 it gives Chrome a transparent title bar. And if I change the msstyles it also changes the buttons and title bar in Chrome. So I'm pretty sure it uses native dwm.
The devs said customizations will come.
You'll be able to customize the bar, position of the buttons etc.
Anyway you can already do it by the css file in Vivaldi resources, and you can also change the icons since Vivaldi's interface isn't compiledIt seems to me that if the title bar colour is controlled by css, it would have to be using its own skinning engine separate from dwm. Which means it's not going to be able to use aero transparency from dwm.
So if I wanted to have tabs on a transparent title bar (+blur), then either the skinning engine Vivaldi uses would have to be designed for it. Or, the native window (dwm) option would have to be modified such that the tabs can be placed onto the native title bar itself, instead of underneath it on their own separate bar.
You can already customize search engines!
Yes, I saw that. I was just saying that I don't want to see a repeat of Opera where you used to be able to change it (by modifying the default_partners_content.json file), but they disabled that option (it now complains if you make any changes to the file file and refuses to start, so there is literally no way to modify/remove the default options)
Also, I think I did read that some people were making css files that gives multi-row tabs.
It would be nice if this was an integrated option (with the ability to specify how many rows of tabs you want)As far as batch download managers go, I find that nothing so far beats DownThemAll, and I often use Firefox specifically because of it.
