Black PIP screen in Youtube
-
Hello everyone,
Lately, I've been experiencing this problem on Youtube most of the time. Following the first PIP command, the main video window goes black and the PIP window won't even open. On the subsequent commands, the PIP window opens but with a black screen instead of a video.Anybody experiencing this? And anybody who knows how to solve it?
Thanks in advance... -
@Gwen-Dragon
Thanks Gwen, this is exactly what I am experiencing.

"When taskbar is auto hide, It happen."
Yep. Just checked it. The same behaviour by me.
Change it to "auto-hide off", execute PIP and it works. After activating auto-hide again it still works.

@sanon Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!! Indeed, it works but I didn't pay enough attention to

Nice one! I'm a happy user again!

@Gwen-Dragon @sanon Just one information to add. The user needs to redo that operation every time after the browser has been closed and reopened (unfortunately )

@sanon Thank you, this also worked for me. Much appreciated.

This issue seems to be resolved with the latest Snapshot. There is no longer any need to disable the Windows Taskbar Autohide.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb (WinSPRLevel = 5.9) on Win 10 64-bit 1909 build 18363.778 • Snapshot 3.0.1874.11 (64-bit)
-
@Pesala Not for me. (Windows 10 64bits, Vivaldi 3.0.1874.11 (64 bits))
I didn't see anything related to this bug nor a fix announcement in the last changelogs. -
@Ornorm I spoke to soon. Apparently, I had not closed Vivaldi since last showing/hiding the Windows taskbar.
After restarting Vivaldi, the bug reared its ugly head again.
-
@Pesala This is indeed what I suspected.
The "Resolved" should be removed. -
@Ornorm Yes, while the workaround is not hard to use, the bug is clearly not fixed.
