[Status Bar] Toggle between show and either overlay or hide, depening on which was selected previously (VB-18411)
Much welcomed new feature

Badeparken Drøbak!
Thanks for the fixes!
-
the problem of HTML5 videos pausing while changing volume seems fixed now
-
@ian-coog: Oh, so it wasn't just me. Thanks for mentioning that.
-
I see that in this version the pop-ups continue to be "lame" as in Google Chrome, which means that this is not considered as a problem.
-
@olli: liar!

On my Macbook, dragging the window to a second monitor has been crashing Vivaldi for several builds now . . . this update fixed it!

Where I can see this? If it's just a cosmetic glitch, for sure it has lower priority.

Thanks !!! I filled a bug today about the fullscreen problem, and that build has already fixed it !

PS: on Linux obviously. And on Manjaro. And thanks to "herecura" AUR repository

I have a minor problem that has been around for many snapshots now but I'm pretty sure it hasn't always been like this in Vivaldi: My browser's "Homepage" is a local html-page (file://<somepath>.htm) of 65 kB. When I open that in a new tab (for me that's Ctrl-T + Ctrl-space) it loads instantly most of the time. But sometimes (I think that's when I haven't used it "for a while") it takes several seconds to load, much longer than loading much more complicated pages on the web. Any idea why that might happen (or how I could debug what's happening)?

Outlook Web service (outlook.office365.com) still very slow here. Folders and emails take a long time to load (sometimes forever) ...

@iAN-CooG Nice one! I confirm!

[Developer Tools] Inspect should close for tabs that are being hibernated (VB-30269)
I have different opinion, but I hardly ever hibernate tabs w/ devtools so it's OK.
[Status Bar] Report page zoom level in overlay status (VB-13586)
I'd say it would be better on the right side and shown permanently…
[Status Bar] Toggle between show and either overlay or hide, depening on which was selected previously (VB-18411)
Good one. I had a problem that the first time I tested it it got hidden instead of being an overlay, but with the next test no problem.
@GoustiFruit Oh, “hereAUR”? Really? Aand you think that Mjro is not Linux?

I'm still unable to use Amazon Music with Vivaldi, including this latest snapshot. Do any of you have a definitive answer as to how to get this working? I've tested with brand-new user profiles, no extensions, etc, cannot get it to work.
-
@potmeklecbohdan: Also didn't work the first time here. How weird. And a little scary that something so simple and obvious was apparently reported circa 2015 or early 2016 (look at the number on it!) but took until today to do. I reported it a mere three years ago. So maybe I can actually use the status bar now.

With 80 coming up fast, it's a little surprising to see another 79 at this stage. Is 80 being problematic?
-
@rseiler It's caused by the prefs (this is from the “official unofficial docs” you get automatically installed), I'm not really sure if the first part should look like that now (
off
should be deprecated) ( @Team_Vivaldi ) (and is it intended to be w/o description?)"status_bar": { "display": { "type": "enum", "enum_values": { "on": 0, "off": 1, "overlay": 2 }, "default": "on", "syncable": true }, "minimized": { "description": "Determines whether to hide or overlay Status Bar", "type": "enum", "enum_values": { "off": 0, "overlay": 1 }, "default": "off", "syncable": true } }
