Vivaldi clears clipboard on Ctrl-C if nothing selected in Address Bar

It's something I do a lot, copy URL, open new tab, paste. Sometimes I'm a bit too fast and hit C instead of V... I was wondering what was going on but turns out Vivaldi clears the clipboard even if nothing is selected, as in a new tab with address bar focused.
How it works in all other Windows apps (and probably other OSs), is that if nothing is selected, clipboard is not overwritten.
It really should be a known bug unless this just started with the latest versions. I'll report it anyway.
Reported as VB-62227.
@Pathduck I confirmed the bug in BT.
