The new update unwraps better site compatibility through user agent changes, adds more style to Vivaldi’s unique theme scheduling and more.

After the update there were some unwanted new Speeddials introduced and the previous background has vanished. Nothing serious but .. 😱

          Hi
After this update I need to add --disable-features=RendererCodeIntegrity to Vivaldi.exe shortcut. I'm using Symantec Endpoint Protection (Company laptop) In latest 2.9 there was Ok, but now without this option Vivaldi will not start.

@kswiatly_har: Yeah Symantec need to get their act together. They have acknowledged this is entirely their issue and had ages to fix this but do nothing.

Hi, German magazine CT announce Vivaldi 2.10 in it´s news section but the report mainly focuses on obscuring the User Agent.
New features is only one sentence, no word about bug fixing and Chromium version, bah. banana
It also mention iOS version, tsts.

@Pathduck Maybe 72. Everything becomes too much work as you get past a certain age.

Now only the same is missing on Android. But I still find it sad to withdraw Vivaldi from the statistics because of these almost criminal pages.

@axk: Hi, thanks! Yeah, the bookmarks being blank when set as a start page is a known issue, its a very recent regression sadly, but we'll hopefully have a fix for it soon 🙂 As for the tab muting, we've worked quite a bit on it recently, and most issues should be solved, if you have any specific issues I'd love to hear about them so that we can investigate it further, again, thanks for the report 🙂

                            Now, that's a real Christmas gift 🙂
Thanks to the team for this tremendous work !

My only concerns for Vivaldi right now would be these :

                            • global responsiveness is still not on par with other Chromium browsers : Opera, for instance, feels much snappier (UI-wise). Am I the only one with this issue ?
                            • a direct access to certificates (I can't find them through preferences)

Apart from that, I love Vivaldi very much (and Android version is now quite nice too).

                            Regards.

I don't know what I've missed, but.... why Vivaldi version number goes from .1 to .15?

Anyone concerned about tab muting issues might want to consider the extension "AutoplayStopper" from the Chrome web store. Depending on your browsing habits you might initially think many pages are broken. (I just think it's bliss. No need to disable "play next" every single time I visit YouTube. No more obnoxious video-ads following you as you desperately try to scroll away from them...)

You may also just want to quickly doublecheck tab muting (V --> tools --> settings --> tabs --> scroll to bottom --> "mute tab audio" section). Some extensions sometimes override and change your settings (as an example of this acting on a different, unrelated setting: uBlock origin, Trace and Privacy Badger protect you from WebRTC IP leaks, but re-enable the setting "broadcast IP" in order to intercept it).

Yes, I did turn them off, and of course it helps.
But overall, there's still lag here and there (startup, window openings, private window opening, etc).

No big deal though, as I'm writing this message with Vivaldi 😉
