Decouple language spell check from Accept-Language
-
I do not want to send information about all the languages that I am interested in all the time when I visit a website (Accept-Language HTTP header). However, it seems that it is not possible to use spell check on a language that is not enabled as Accept-Language.
I therefore request that those settings shall be decoupled.
// Just to be clear: I am referring to internal dictionaries, not to some sort of annoying google-ish pop-up to spy on me.

Seconded, this would be incredibly useful. Vivaldi is currently a bit lacking in advanced language settings for those of us who need to use more than just one language everywhere.

Finally!
// it does not seem to offer "removing" the user interface language yet.
-
It does not work for me at least to remove
en-GB
(also not afer addingen-US
or restarting and such).
-
implicit question @Gwen-Dragon (sorry if this was not clear): does it work for you to remove your primary language?
-
Vivaldi 3.5 is released with support for this: "New accept-language setting"
-
This sadly has been coupled again since at least 2 snapshots, with all languages being set for spell check (i.e. set in
chrome://settings/languages
) automatically also becoming accepted languages forvivaldi://settings/general/
