New extension options still not translated into french.
Looks like "Domain expansion" isn't either, I didn't notice that before.
I guess this isn't really a deal-breaker for a release, but might be nice to fix in a catch-up build?
-
@lonm: Yeah we are still taking translations but the Ctrl+Enter is so late I don't think that one would make it in time but it is not widely used so I think we could live with it until a minor update
-
Oh.
For a moment I thought that VB-59962 was fixed to make Ctrl+[Shift+]Enter open a background tab when using Shift+Enter for opening the typed address in a new tab. -
Ctrl+Enter is back, thanks. Free at last. /edit: well, partially at least.

Moar kitties!
I just reported VB-61323 regarding editing URLs and having to press Del twice to delete parts of it when using the keyboard. Long-standing issue, but would be nice if it could be fixed before Stable
About the domain expansion: I don't really use it, but I tested and it appears to only support a single TLD? I seem to remember we could use for instance "com, org, net,no" to have it try different TLDs?
I get results like:
https://vivaldi.com/,org,net,no
And these obviously give 404s.http://nrk.com/,org,net,no
http://platekompaniet.com/,org,net,no
These give resolve errors.Adding spaces between the suffixes results in it just going to default search.
-
@Pathduck the new setting is clear about it, it's not a tld cycling anymore, just a single suffix supported. Not a bug, just different, simpler implementation.
-
@AXK I can confirm this bug. Is it a regression (a new bug since last build)?
In any case, please file a bug.
For information on how to report a bug, see this URL: https://vvld.in/how-to-report-bugs
On the form, you can add your email address. Once submitted, you'll get a confirmation.
Once that is done, please share the bug number (beginning with VB-). Thanks.

Why is the Suffix label on the right? I would expect such things to be on the left.
-
@potmeklecbohdan Because a suffix is something that comes after ? :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:
I keed, I keed... it seems strange to me as well...
It should be "Suffix: "

Oh, what a strange idea

I have to announce the bug I mentioned yesterday again.
The following versions of Vivaldi
2.6.1566.44 32bit
2.7.1628.30 32bit
2.8.1664.44 32bit
show the correct presentation of this text:Vivaldi 2.9/2.10 shows it wrong. So, conclusion, the abswer from gwen-dragon is wrong.
By the way:In my Chrome 79 32bit the presentation is correct. PIC added. This statement "Das ist in Chrome 79 und Edge 11 auch so mit der Anzeige, dass falsch kodierte Zeichen Rechtecke sind." is totally wrong.
Vivaldi did the presentation correct in the past versions before 2.9/2.10, but now wrong. Why do you deny that?

@Michael_from_Germany : The Spiegel.de page looks fine here on latest 2.10 Snapshot. So obviously something is wrong on your machine. You can make unsubstantiated claims, or you can let others help you to help yourself by listening to recommendations.
If you think something is a bug, make a bug report:

Apparently I can't move the Vivaldi window to another screen. As soon as I try it, the window will downsize ...
Also: double clicking on the window "frame" will do nothing.Using latest build via brew on macOS 10.15.1

@pathduck: You are wrong with "So obviously something is wrong on your machine" I described it below. Vivaldi before 2.9/2.10 do it wright, the new versions do it wrong. By the way: I did not say that the start page spiegel.de does anything wrong. Are you able to use the correct link I mentioned?
