@bac You can wait a day or two... ( 15 days ago )
Hi, any progress? Not sure if I do anything wrong but it says there is no new version.
-
Vivaldi 2.10.1745.21 (Stable channel) (32-bit)
Unfortunately the bug is still there.
I know I should not complain... Vivaldi is free... but it is more than a month. -
@bac there are bugs and feature requests awaiting since 5 years, keep calm and enjoy Vivaldi
-
I enjoy Vivaldi a lot and I am thankful for it. I truly believe Vivaldi is the second best browser there is, Presto based Opera will always be the best .
I have a big problem with frequent updates. I don't need new features but I need security updates. Thus I am forced to update. But each update contains not only security patches but new features with new bugs... why?!
I would be so happy if they release only minor security patches through the year. And maybe one a year fully tested new release with new features.
Truth be told this is all new software problem. Users are beta testers. And my biggest concern is when there is a new bug you are not able to downgrade without possibility of damaging profile data. That is just ridiculous.
For machinists there is a rule "if you can not make it precise, make it adjustable".
For programmers there should be something like "if you can not make a program without bugs at least make a downgrade safe and easy". -

if you can not make a program without bugs
nobody can

And that is why a downgrade possibility is so important.

Can confirm bug still exists in 2.10.1745.27
When clicking the middle mouse button with out moving the location of the mouse pointer in addition to opening in new tab it also changes the mouse into fast scroll mode.I don't know about the rest of you but i use middle mouse a lot to set up multiple pages from the start page often. Every time I use my PC in fact. I am dismayed to find that this has been know about and not fixed for months now. (I just updated I update manually to try and avoid stuff like this happening.)
Can I get a time frame on when this will be fixed.

@fixMiddleMouse2 As noted above, the issue is already fixed in the 2.11 Snapshot. You will have to wait for the release of 2.11 stable to see the fix there.
