Webmail login issue

  • Hello all. I am able to log in to Vivaldi generally as you can see but I try to log in to "mail" but it keeps coming up with the Vivaldi Mail login screen which it never used to do before. When I enter the same user name and p/w as I have for Vivaldi it will not let me it and keeps telling me that the login failed. I do not understand why. I even went in and changed my password and I can only get as far as this and NOT able to get my mail. Can someone tell me what's going on?

  • The Vivaldi team reads here about webmail ;) Vivaldi Mail Thread

I have the same problem with my other mail account.

They made some changes to the mail server today. I think and hope it will be fixed quickly.

    There was an announcement:

    Hi everyone,

We need to do some changes to the mail server which will include some downtime tomorrow from 14:00 GMT. We hope to finish the changes quickly and have the downtime as short as possible.

Thank you all for your patience and have a great day

Mail Server - Scheduled Downtime 1 September.

  • I just checked my webmail and imap accesses and I haven't any problem.

Anyway I think the administrators are looking in to it to understand what is still wrong for some users.

  • According to the downtime sticky everything should be A-OK, and only those experiencing desktop mail client problems should restart these programs.

I just tried to access my mail through web-mail interface and my Thunderbird as well – to no avail. Login / Authentication failed.

It would be nice if someone else could also confirm or deny it.

EDIT - I'm using POP3 access in my Thunderbird. HTH

  • I have the same issue :/

I can confirm it, i can't log in into mail with my another username via webmail. But with this account > "telegram" , it works.

  • The login works fine, but Vivaldi has a problem :

    The mail system

We'll make sure to keep an close eye in here.

  • What do I need in order to use webmail? I cannot login with my account credentials that work here (community).

Some letters don't work in Vivaldi Mail login, like for example: ß ( ) .
Change your password in your profile and use regular letters and numbers and try it again, hope it works then ;)

  • Thanks a lot. So either $ or § won't work with the webmail login. Removing them form the pwd it now works fine. Thank you.
