Thanks - and thanks also to the team for the e-mail informing me my bug should be fixed.
Interesting to note that my bug for the recent issue was 59252 yet the bug number above is a lot earlier (56610)...
Confirm that this update works on my laptop with Symantec installed. Thanks team!

@fhsdoifhsib4: This kind of updates should be delivered even at weekend. Now have to use Chrome only for browsing until Vivaldi get updates.

@hadden89: I firstly noticed it on Reddit, but this "try it" page from W3Schools has the same problem.

@gabevilela
Thanks. Can confirm on latest Vivaldi version.
Yes, it seems the same/similar issue which was fixed time ago.
Please report it and let us know the VB number (will be easier to keep track of the issue for everyone). -
@Pesala Does not solve, make a test puts the page of vivaldi site as homepage and see when a tab opens it focuses the address bar

Yes, I can confirm this behaviour. Problem is I think, that the Home page is not treated as a "new tab" so the option to focus the address bar does not apply here.
The general behaviour for an opened page is to focus the page itself. Another issue is that when using the Home page hotkey (I have Ctrl+Space) the focus is not on the address bar or the page.
Please report it here: https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/

@hadden89: VB-59606

@merser: It is updated now

PIP mode for videos (i.e. Youtube) is still broken. Please fix it, thanks!

@Pathduck With Tabs -> New Tab Page set to my own URL, and Tab Handling -> Focus Page Content on New Tab unchecked, Vivaldi 2.8 and every previous version I ever used focused the address bar. Ctrl+T -> start typing a search (or click a link in the page, both worked.) Suddenly 2.9 has broken the thing I do most often in Vivaldi!
If I choose Tabs -> New Tab Page -> Start Page or Blank Page, it still focuses the address bar. People who want the content focused have the Focus Content checkbox to do that... I so hope we can return to address bar focus on explicit URLs!
Is that mod-able??? Where would I look?
