Thanks as always.

Well at least I now know what Anti-virus to not use...
The efficiency of the Vivaldi team always amazes, even though it is a small team. Congratulations, for being faster than the much bigger team, which is Symantec.

Thanks - and thanks also to the team for the e-mail informing me my bug should be fixed.
Interesting to note that my bug for the recent issue was 59252 yet the bug number above is a lot earlier (56610)...

The 2.9 update broke JS dialogs for me. The dialog appears, but clicking does nothing, until a few seconds later, where it turns clickable.

@gabevilela Can you share a link where it happens?
It sounds like an old bug which was fixed several versions ago.

What about the serious vulnerabilities in Chrome? Will there be an update?

+1 to what @Merser raised.
We urgently need vivaldi to upgrade to Chrome 78.0.3904.87
@fhsdoifhsib4 Don't worry. Vivaldi 2.9 will continue to get ongoing updates to fix significant bugs as well to update the Chromium code to the latest stable version.

Hi, you have to drop it over the + to open a new tab or right click to open context menu.

@barooni10 drag & dropping that link works fine here. Don't select it first, just grab and move it. Usually it is even more "safe" to drag it first a little down before moving it directly to the desired spot. Selecting it and then moving it just copies its text.
If it is still not working -which I doubt- try it with another mouse. If the mouse is faulty, left-click makes interrupts, so it loses it.

@fhsdoifhsib4: I guess we can assume that older versions are affected, too, like 77 (which many of us are still on), but it doesn't really say.

I really appreciate you guys working so fast on this one. Vivaldi is my #1 browser that I use almost exclusively. I was worried about having to switch browsers for a while, but you guys came out with a fix so fast! This update works perfectly for me and I don't have any more problems. Thank you so much!

Does anyone have trouble choosing when to open a tab to focus on the address bar? after this update he is no longer focusing on the address bar. I use a custom page.
@Mioni Settings, Tabs, uncheck Focus Page Content on New Tab.

This and previous version break Microsoft Teams calls support in the browser. I can't join the meeting using these updates. How to downgrade?
@alsors Downgrading is not recommended. Critical security fixes will be missing.
Install the old version as a standalone version to avoid potentially messing up your profile.
