Closing the find bar, and find among links
-
There are some features I'm missing. The first, and really important, is a keyboard shortcut to close the find bar. When I press [CTRL]+[F] and find what I'm searching for, I want to be able to press [Esc] to close the find bar. I would also love a way to search among links, like pressing the [ , ] button in old Opera did.

Escape works for me to close the fine bar. I was able to add the / shortcut to Ctrl F, though that obviously doesn't work too well while typing a message.
Find within links would definitely be a bonus.

Hmm weird, because when i press Escape while using CTRL+F nothing happens. The only way I've found to close it is pressing the x button in the find bar.

Which version are you using? I am using the 32-bit Snapshot 1.0.258.3 on Windows 7 64-bit.
-
I am using version 1.0.219.50, Developer Build, 32-bit, on a 64-bit Windows 8.1 laptop
Edit: I just uninstalled the 32 bit version and installed the 64 bit, and it's still not working

Then, that's no surprise since you're several versions behind the latest snapshot release.
-
Ok, I just downloaded it from the website, and when the check for updates button said I had the newest version I just assumed it was true.
-
Yes, you have the latest stable release, which is TP4, but I suspect that the Snapshot releases are treated separately. I get autoupdate notifications when a new snapshot is released whenever I launch Vivaldi because I am using the snapshot version.
Technical Previews are still some distance from being ready for Joe Public, but they should be reasonably stable. As with all experimental builds, be prepared to encounter bugs, but you also get to see the direction in which Vivaldi is heading.

There are different streams, as almost always happens.
The same happens on Opium, but even on W10 where most of the users are on b10240 while who is in the right "ring" has already tested the b10525 and 10532.
