Linux Mint (VirtualBox) - Vivaldi black
-
I have the same problem with Vivaldi like in this thread: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/17538/blank-starting-page?page=1
But with Linux Mint. Both newest version. Virtualbox guest additions is installed.
Vivaldi starts ''normal'' (not maximized). If I want to maximize Vivaldi window it's get black and I need to quit it through process manager.
But Opera (Chromium like Vivaldi) is working. -

Not the same at all! That was a problem with "start page"/themes and Intel GPU.

But Opera (Chromium like Vivaldi) is working.I'm on Mint (18.3 KDE) and no problem here.
So...
How are you maximising - using the control in the title bar, or using e.g. maximise on a video?Which Vivaldi version?
Is it only when using Virtualbox (I don't use it)?
Do you have any extensions installed? Have you checked with NO extensions? Are you using graphics h/w acceleration (see vivaldi://gpu )?

- Problem only on VirtualBox
- No access to vivaldi://gpu and no extensions because black window, even if I try to maximize Vivaldi Window with mouse. It's a new installation.
- 3D Acceleration in VirtualBox is on

VMSVGA with 3D acceleration
Yes Vivaldi UI start and browser freeze before it shows the speed dial. Sometimes it does not freeze but if I try to change the Vivaldi Window it freeze. -
