Swipe To Close Tabs, Customizе Start Page, Empty Trash – Vivaldi Android Browser snapshot 1683.32
-
For today’s Snapshot we made it possible to swipe to close tabs, manage the Start Page, show scroll bars, and empty the trash for Bookmarks and Notes.

@mariap It would be nice to have a separate Blog channel for Android Snapshots.
-
Swipe to close setting seems to not work, i.e. it seems the feature is always enabled regardless of the setting.
-
The "show scrollbars" setting tripped me => "On webpages ? But I already have scrollbars"
Renaming the setting as "show scrollbars in Vivaldi's interface" would help. -
Now we just need a setting to move the address bar to the bottom or a button at the buttom to focus the address and we are in business.
-
If you long-press on a Speed Dial, you’ll see a context menu. Tapping outside of the Speed Dial will close the menu again.
In my experience, using Android 10, when I long press on a Speed Dial, the context menu flashes, then disappears. Am I doing it wrong?

It seems all your energy and resources have been assigned to the Adnroid version development. We, the windows users, feel a little neglected. For example that, I think rather simple fix, for the address extensions settings is yet to be applied. And, yes, I write here because I believe you will notice it!
-
@pesala: it will come soon.

Hi and thank you for the update.
Lag after closing the last tab (VB-58140)
Dunno what you meant with lag but on my system it still need ~2-3 seconds to get back to speed dial after closing last tab.Xiaomi Mi 9T

Vivaldi 2.7.1683.32 SnapshotThanks for fixing [Sync][Notes] Note duplication (VB-58353), seams to work now.
Cheers, mib

I'm a Windows user and I don't feel neglected at all, so I'm thinking that you're speaking for yourself and not "we, the windows users".

@x-15a2: I can confirm this behavior, also on Android 10
-
@x-15a2: Very touching!
-
Thank you so much for "VB-56624 - Make it possible to delete all items from trash", even if the "+" icon is it would be better to change it to a "Broom" and "VB-58638 - Unify icons stroke width and remove text buttons" now it's all more consistent.
-
@folgore101: I must be blind - where is the notes/bookmarks trash and where is the empty button?

I was going to ask exactly the same question....
There is no "trash". Neither in bookmarks nor notes.Anyway... Does anybody else have these empty undeletable notes?
-
@killchain: Thank you for your feedback. I cannot reproduce the problem but will investigate it.
-
@cqoicebordel: Thank you for your feedback.

@ROTFL
Hi, no trash can, too but I don´t have these undeletable notes, strange.Xiaomi Mi 9T

@stevekong: Go to Bookmarks/Notes panel, tap on '<'on the top left side. The Trash folder is listed there and if you open it, the 'empty trash' button is located down on the right.
-
@mariap This location is a bit... nonintuitive?
But thanks for help
BTW - Why does "bookmark" section have 3 items on "root level"? (Bookmarks on phone / Bookmarks bar / Trash) instead of 2?
I don't get the purpose of the first item...
