Hide addressbar for specific websites?
-
Is there a way to selectively hide the addressbar?
For instance:- radio player
- Bitwarden My vault pop-out
-
Not by means of site-specific settings, nor can you hide the address bar for specific tabs inside one window.
What you could do is to move said tabs into their own separate window (Rightclick on the tab > Move to) and there go to minimal UI mode by Ctrl+F11. -
@Figaro_FV I knew F11, but didn't know ctrl-F11 yet. Nice one.
But while Ctrl-F11 remove navigation and extension icons, the navigation remains in place.
I believe Edge/Chrome have something like an app mode. Does something similar exist in Vivaldi? -
@S_Paternotte There should be an entry in
vivaldi://experiments
that allows you to easily install some sites as PWA — then it's somewhere in the main menu IIRC. -
@potmeklecbohdan Option found and enabled, but I can't seem to find the 'PWA' option in any menu. I assume that your "some" is a decisive word here. Do you know of a website where Install as PWA should work so that I can figure out in which menu I should be able to find the option??

@S_Paternotte For example mobile.twitter.com — for more see this SS thread. But it looks like it doesn't work there — at least for me.

If you want, I could also try to write a mod for this, but then please start a new thread in the correct subforum
-
@potmeklecbohdan Found it! For mobile.twitter.com the Vivaldi icon main menu offers an option "Install Twitter" (free translation from my Vivaldi in Dutch).
But clicking the option causes Vivaldi to immediately close (crash?).
I'll file a bug report.I am also interested in your offer for a mod. I am generally interested in applying my first mod, so I'll start a fresh request at the appropriate forum.
