vivaldi is not compatible with tablet
i have a galaxy tab s5e.
in vivaldi when i touch a link the uper link get touched!
i mean its somehow its not calibrated for touch.
you touch some place, but 1 centimeter down get activated!!
with opera or fire fox i dont have this problem -
Known bug - I reported it months ago. Apparently tablets are not a priority ...
To be specific, once you have scrolled then when the tab bar is displayed (which only happens on tablets) the position you need to touch is offset from the position where an item appears on the screen by the width of the tab bar. Workaround - scroll the page so that the tab bar (and address bar) are off the screen ... as long as the tab bar is not visible where you have to touch will be where the item appears to be. Obviously inconvenient to have to scroll every single page before interacting with it, though.
Bug VB-53633, if you want to watch for it in the changelog.

I have a tab s6. Works fine in tablet mode, but calibration breaks in Dex mode. It's always about an inch bellow where I do actually touch.
-
Very annoying. Would be great to see a fix for this.

Using a Kindle Fire8 tablet and the beta works pretty much as I'd expect (using it now).
I do have the issue with the offset, but it occurs only if I a few mm off the target it goes to the nearest link from where I tapped. On an 80cm tablet a 1cm error is greater than 10%. I am thankful it is much less on the Kindle, but sure makes it awkward for those in your position.
Also there is no calibration on this device (like my Palm Pilot III)... So even if fixed I may not be able to take advantage of it. -
Any news? That offset is sooooo annoying. I am close to uninstalling again

@DanielHHH There were fixes to Chromebook compatibility in today's snapshot. Some of these might affect tablet compatibility.

I'm also in the same case with the same tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e).
I suppose it's not too hard to fix ;p

@kervala I fear we go wrong when we suppose.

If you closed Vivaldi (either via Exit on the menu, or because an update was installed), it will be fine on next run until you scrolled a website. It is not fixed, no

Just tested it: Bug still exists.
