Changing the UI zoom creates issue with uMatrix
-
I still don't have that extension showing a full menu. You've tried it with UI zoomed at 75% from a fresh browser restart? Changing the UI zoom to 100% and then activating the extension menu will allow it to open at any other zoom level after it's worked once before. But from a fresh browser restart, with UI zoom at 75%, the menu is still just a few pixels big for me on multiple browser restarts. I'm not sure if there's a log I can submit to prove it, but it is reproducible on my machine. Also at other UI zoom levels that are less than 100%.

@ffuser1 Here's what I did:
- Set UI Zoom to 75%
- Installed this extension
- Restarted Vivaldi
Result: the extension's pop-up menu is shown in full.

I still have this issue. I'm on the latest windows desktop snapshot build. I've disabled my custom CSS file which doesn't change things. The CSS file mostly just hides the header, makes about:blank black, and changes some vertical tab bar sizes. But getting rid of it doesn't fix this issue anyway. I've set zoom UI to control + 1 and control + 2 so I have a fairly useful workaround for now. I guess I can see if other extensions are interfering with this by disabling them one by one and testing.

@hadden89 What workaround?
VB-39040
has been resolved last year, as it was no longer reproducible. -

Yours.
Set UI Zoom to 75%
Installed this extension
Restarted VivaldiVB-39040 has been resolved last year, as it was no longer reproducible.
Nice to read that. However, probably don't mean too much as user, as sadly I never got the right path to track popup issues when they happen if 0px or misplaced (not often, not seldom).

@grndkntrl Some extensions fixed changing how the popup is made but yeah, other are still affected. Btw, umatrix is not developed anymore (but shouldn't be affected). Not easy to track this bug, but the last time I asked for this vb I was told is still opened (or it should).
With which extension you are getting the bug? -
@Hadden89
Hi, VB-39040 is closed as resolved but this bug was about one extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/manual-geolocation/jpiefjlgcjmciajdcinaejedejjfjgki
Last comment from 2021 confirmed it as working.
@all
Keep in mind these extensions are developed for Chrome, some are working in Vivaldi some not at all.
Chromium 110 will break hundreds of extensions, some user report this already in the snapshot thread for some.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin A bit of time is passed since then. I'll try to disable the 39040 workaround for Cookie Autodelete
/* Crazy VB-39040 workaround for CookieAutoDelete */
.extension-popup.top > webview[src="chrome-extension://fhcgjolkccmbidfldomjliifgaodjagh/popup/popup.html"] {
min-width: 640px; min-height: 402px; /* Set the minimum extension popup get */
max-width: 1000px; max-height: 1200px; /* Set the maximum extension popup get */
transform: top-left; /* Should preserve clickability outside the popup */
}
Btw, what chr110 is breaking in the specific?
-
@mib2berlin Nope. Is totally random but I still experience the issue. Gotta take back the VB workaround, it seems

@Hadden89
Some user report Chromium 110 break extensions, I test a few but cant reproduce it.
The last few posts in the older snapshot thread: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/83229/fixes-and-improvements-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-2914-3/145Cheers, mib
