What’s unique in Vivaldi for Android?
-
We thought we’d put this question to the Android team who’ve been working hard to bring you Vivaldi’s first mobile version.

Notes are indeed unique in implementation, providing the ability to share any text that's not a tab with your other devices. It's comparable to Opera Touch's Flow feature in a way.
Currently not really useable though. Notes coming from desktop don't keep their title and as soon as you make a note on Android, it seems like all your notes get quadrupled and messed up on all devices connected with sync. Additionally empty notes appear on the Android version, which can't be deleted. Cleaning this up is a mess, but hey, it's a beta for a reason.

as always, extras are great as long as basics are there

LOL that last shot made me think of this:
Rock star programmers?

This has been an issue with notes, default bookmarks and synchronisation for at least a year - not just with the Android addition.
I don't often do this, but: Vivaldi, you really need to sort this out!
(I say that as someone who has occasionally spent hours cleaning up cloned notes or reappearing bookmarks across multiple devices - once there were so many thousands of notes it kept crashing Vivaldi while I was trying to fix it. Not good!)

For me the tab switching shortcut is genius. It's a game changer.
(and be careful, you lost Vilde during your photoshoot ) -
@cqoicebordel: Vilde and Atle were busy climbing on top of that brick wall when we were taking the last photo. Then they dragged David up.

Already before the launch I have assumed that Vivaldi will offer more than any other browser in the Play Store. And I really have not been disappointed, some deficiencies aside (few) that is normal in a beta

Typo alert:
It coulnd’t be more simple.
It couldn’t be more simple.
Or, better:
It couldn’t be simpler.
-
Even better Impossible to be more simple

@mossman: yup, i've seen duplication before (up to 16 copies iirc), now after syncing android duplication happend again and everything is in 3 copies (original at least has correct titles, duplicates are a bit messed up)

how do i sync open tabs? i can see cloud tabs buttons/sections on both browsers but they're both empty and i dont see a switch to sync tabs in sync settings

Is there still no search engines sync?

@OlgaA (I missed the absence of Atle, that's not good )

@pesala: Fixed and thanks!
-
@cqoicebordel: That's ok, I won't tell him

Or maybe instead of such articles that repeat information from others, do a survey of what functions do the most users want in the next updates of the mobile version ? It would be much more interesting.

@mattsolo45: We already have that, take a look: https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/136/feature-requests-for-android It is very interesting indeed.
