Two serious readability problems
-
Congratulations on the new beta browser! I definitely want to change permanently to it (Samsung Galaxy S10+), but it currently has two serious readability problems, plus one minor problem, none of which Opera has --- my eyes are not good, and I need all the help I can get.
Text reflow: I can pinch to zoom, but the text does not reflow, so the zooming is completely useless for text. Opera has had this automatic reflow feature for years, so it must be relatively straightforward to implement. (Other browsers do not have text reflow, or else it is really clumsy to use, which I why I have to stick to Opera.)
Advertisement bar: The new Beta has an advertisement bar on the bottom that I cannot remove. It takes up valuable real estate and it covers Android's new swiping actions --- but the worst aspect is that it is a distraction. I am happy to pay the usual $3--$5 to have it removed, but the app is unusable with the ad bar there. I can't possibly read a serious news article with a gambling advertisement flashing at me.
The bottom bar: I'm very happy with a bottom bar that disappears when I scroll down and reappears when I scroll up. But could it possibly be about half the height, and not so aggressively black-and-white? Likewise the top bar.

My apologies for misunderstanding the issue in my second problem above. The bottom advertisement bar was not put there by Vivaldi, but by the website that I was testing. So my second problem concerns the lack of extensions --- this problem has been raised in many other posts. Hopefully a future release will allow ad-blocker extensions such as u-block.
