Find in page: visual highlighting
-
Hi,
s. scsreenshot: during typing a search term I look at/in the page for the found term.But this makes it difficult to see if there is no result. Therefore: e.g. a red highlighted "search form bar" would be nice. Quick&dirty:
thanks

@webaschtl What's wrong with 0 von 0 ?
-
@Pesala Nothing is wrong But a stronger highlighting of the search result – esp. in the case of a light greyed out "0 von 0" – would be nice, the eyes still focused on the webpage and not on this search form/bar.

... ah, the good old Opera is my friend:

There are several CSS mods in the modifications forum that does this, for instance:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/28750/less-obstructive-compact-bottom-find-barEDIT: Here's a bare bones CSS mod that does the trick:
/* Use AccentBg color for no matches */ .find-in-page.fip-nomatches input[type="search"] { background: var(--colorAccentBg);
Change the
var(--colorAccentBg)
to what you think is better. -
When "find in page" finds 0 results, please change the text field's background color to make it quicker and easier to notice. The special background color should use a variant of our theme's "highlight" color by default. Or, even better, let us customize the special background color so we can ensure it looks good with our theme.

Thanks for all your answers!
I've forgotten that vivaldi has similar options as Opera
