Mod to include Hibernated tab's title as Marker
-
Currently only the favicon are used as marker for Hibernated tab, but it's not very effective for some favicon. So, here is a simple CSS mod to include the Hibernated tabs' title as marker.
Tabbar
.tab-position .tab.isdiscarded:not(:hover) .title {opacity: .6; /* -webkit-text-fill-color: #9999; */} /* lighten hibernated tabs' title or change the color */ .tab-position .tab:not(.isdiscarded) .title {-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0.15px;} /* increase loaded tabs' title thickness slightly */
Tips: you can also use theme related colors from vivaldi://themecolors/ instead of
#9999
Window panel
#window-panel .vivaldi-tree .tree-item:not(:hover) .tree-row:not([data-selected]) .discarded ~ .title {opacity: .6;}
Tips: You can add
text-decoration: line-through;
to make 'em even more obvious in plain view, albeit less readable...If you have any idea to improve this mod, please share!
That's all, enjoy! -

updated code for v3.8:
- add alternate font color effects for hibernate tabs
- add emphasis thickness for loaded tabs

@dude99 Hi, is there any update for the hibernated tab title to be lightened for Vivaldi 5?
It seems like it is broken

@bludenbuz AFAIK all hibernate CSS class are removed from window panel a few months ago, thus there are nothing can be done to mark hibernate tab's title inside windows panel.
The tabbar one is still working, but it's kinda buggy, you will have to hibernate all tab once to activate it...
I will take a look at the CSS again later to see if I can improve the code, but don't wait for it because I'm busy on Ukraine news... Can't believe Russia blow stuff up around the nuclear plant!

@dude99 oh that's bad, the lightened text for hibernated tabs is very useful in distinguishing hibernated tabs.
No rush at all, and yeah, war is bad for everyone
