Does Vivaldi tracks its users and collect their data?

@Ayespy Oh come on, we know exactly that the Vivaldi team traps, slaughters and sells these wild horses as ”Nature’s Finest Meat” for profit. Wake up to the truth.

mixed opinions on ghacks.

@Priest72 Opinions on internet include people not believing in the existance of Covid-19, thinking vaccines cause autism and flat earthers among other BS written by ignorant people. It's your choice who to believe.
-
@iAN-CooG Agreed it is my choice.
Unfortunately some view opinions as the word of god and thus make decisions upon them.I thankfully am not one of those people. -
@Priest72 , an employee of the city council, from the edge of the road counts the number of cars that pass through it, in order to have a statistic for a possible widening of the road.
Does this violate the privacy of the drivers of these cars?
Well Vivaldi does exactly what this employee does, count Vivaldi users, not collect their personal data, and even less traffic with private data, as Chrome and others do. -
@Catweazle Thank you for that interesting analogy.
-
@Catweazle The problem is the employee of the city council is corrupt and takes bribes. She writes down plate numbers of fancy cars and forwards them to the local mafia. They rob their unsuspecting victims blind and each holiday season they celebrate their dirty deeds in a great get together enjoying nature’s finest meat.
-
@luetage Careful. Someone is going to take you seriously.
-
@Ayespy They better. It’s a cruel world out there. Vivaldi might not have bribed the employee, but they sure sold their meat to the mob. I don’t even wanna know the moral of this wicked story.

None of the data that Vivaldi collects can be related to a certain user, therefore it cannot affect privacy either.
The data it collect, does not even have any other possible use than purely statistical and technical.x users with Windows
x users with Linux
x users with Mac
x users Android
x users from EU, USA, Japan....
and so on, statistical values, numbers, no privacy lacks -
