Button panel width
-
have asked before but it was in a more general thread so will be specific on a single mod
i have found a setting in style attributes
--toolbarHeight: 34px;
if i change this in the dev console the width of the button bar changes but it does not survive a reload [obviously i think] - but i can find no way to add that into my custom css - anything i add is ignored - so i am thinking the attributes list is a list of values that are called from other parts of the code - is there a way to know what is calling each value

Have you tried something like this?
#app { --toolbarHeight: 17px; }
so i am thinking the attributes list is a list of values that are called from other parts of the code - is there a way to know what is calling each value
I don't know any way except
Ctrl+F
in text editor withcommon.css
open (haven't I told you this in the previous topic?), but it can still be added from JS. -

your code does narrow the button bar - as i guess you know but it leaves a space at the side of the bookmarks bar - so i need to work out how to enlarge the window to fill that space
again thanks for the pointer
and this looks to work - needs more testing but it does something
#app { --toolbarHeight: 17px; } #webview-container { margin-left: -17px !important; }
add this to space the buttons
#switch .addwebpanel-wrapper > button, #switch > button { height: calc(var(--toolbarHeight) + var(--padding) + 2px); }
