@adacom You should look at
vivaldi://settings/themes/
and create a theme you like, before trying to modify parts of the browser you can already control through its settings. -

vivaldi://settings/themes/
thanks - i had seen that and unless i am missing something its about definition - they are not themes as i would define it - they are skins - colour changes - many want no more - i come from Maxthon and i will post a couple of examples
standard maxthon UI
my UI - all code mods done by me
so [as i say] its about perspective - most things are possible with Maxthon - i am trying to learn whats possible with Vivaldi - the browser is excellent - the UI is poor imo

Will a moderator please move last three posts (plus this one) into a separate thread? I know they aren't off-topic if you look at title, but the initial post was about reader and blocked content icons and these are about theming.
Thanks.

@adacom Call it what you want, but you can set the color of the border by changing the highlight color of the "theme" in settings, as long as you have "apply accent color to window" checked.

my question had 2 parts - the border colour and the height of the address text input box - i can find no way to change that in your link

@adacom Try this
.addressfield { height: 19px; } .addressfield input.url, .addressfield .UrlField, .addressfield .observer, .addressfield .UrlBar-UrlFieldWrapper { height: 15px; vertical-align: top; } .SiteInfoButton { height: 15px; } .SiteInfoButton-SecurityBadge { height: 15px; width: 15px; } .addressfield .toolbar-small.toolbar-insideinput { height: 15px; } .addressfield .pageload .pageload-indicator { height: 15px; } .addressfield .toolbar-insideinput .button-toolbar, .addressfield .toolbar-insideinput .button-toolbar button { height: 15px !important; width: 15px !important; vertical-align: top; }

@potmeklecbohdan - thanks not sure what you are intending - have not looked at the code but it does not reduce the text box size [ or does not for me ] - need to remove other code to be sure - only change i see is contents seem to move up
-
@adacom This is how it looks for me (with vs without the code)

thanks - first question i always ask is what am i doing wrong and from your pics i need to ask that - a job for later

@adacom code of @potmeklecbohdan is probably for Vivaldi Snapshot version 2.7.1609.4. If you are using Vivaldi Stable it will not work properly
-
@tam710562 Nice find, I completely forgot that I had to change some things in one of last updates.
@adacom I don't use stable, but at least what git says (I never thought it'll be so useful):
.UrlBar-UrlFieldWrapper
→form
If it still doesn't work, try to find how could otherCamelCase
-classed parts be called. -

changing first block to seems to be all it needs
.addressfield { height: 18px !important; }
