Address/search bar take me to the search engine home page instead of search results. How to fix?
-
First of all - thanks for all your hard efforts on the browser! Love it! When I search via either the address/seach bar the browser always takes me to the search engine's home page instead of the search results. I especially don't see the point of using a dedicated search bar if its only function is to go to the search engine; I could use the address bar/shortcuts to browse there and not have to type in my keywords twice. I may be mistaken but I don't remember being annoyed by this in the previous TP of Vivaldi. Is this a bug in the new version? I'd most rather have the address bar handle everything - addresses, searches, searching from the history etc., like I'm able to handle things in Firefox now. I've tried enabling/disabling the search bar and enabled searching in the address bar on Vivaldi settings. Is there any way to get this to work? Am I missing a setting here? User error? Thanks for your help in advance!

For me, a search for Vivalid takes me to this search results page:

Check that you have the latest Snapshot. TP4 is out of date already.

Sorry, completely forgot to confirm that switching to Snapshot fixed this. Thanks, Pesala!
